The previous elemental masters

I didn't mean to make libber look so white T-T and yes ray is a short king

Libber is tall because I headcanon her to be a model (it's how she met cliff)

And lily definitely dances to bharatanatyam and bhungra

(Also i saw fanart of maya and ray with maya taller ans decided I loved that)

Okay random details I added for fun

Lily has curly hair and such there wasn't much i could do as there's only so much I know about her (I gave her muscles but they aren't visible anymore)

Libber I was trying to draw her at least looking accordingly to my headcanons but uh I didn't color pick her skin color correctly and I was too far in to change it, i see her as a bubbly kick ass lady so I think she'd definitely like to wear more crop top ish kinda outfits, definitely a hopeless romantic kinda gal, she's on the taller side because again I headcanon her as a model. Her belt has her symbol from her minifig (I own her minifig so I had that to refrence)

Ray i struggled abit i wanted that flashy cool guy vibe but also factoring in his blacksmithing so I was looking at refrences until I found one I liked, I was too proud of his muscles to hide them so I rolled up the sleeves. His hair has black tips because he most definitely burnt the ends, and then I have a fire symbol on his chest as I kept seeing that symbol in the show a fire with a diamond. Then his apron has the logo of the forge I thought to incorporate that. Then few things as he gets gloves for protection that he doesn't really need

Maya i kept scrapping and redoing because I couldn't get what vibe I wanted for her I didn't see her as someone who would have her legs out but nothing thats stiff so it took me a while I went hippie then I scrapped again and looked at Pinterest 80s fashion and found a turtleneck and skirt and thought hmmm I could tweak this a bit. Her belt refrences her minifig white patterns (originally there was a circle shape as I thought she had a symbol but I couldn't find it)

Okay previous ice master (I can't spell his name) his is just the plan ol design straight from the show but I gave him a background color because it was hard to see him against white

So we all know cole isn't the biggest fan of dancing

But we see that he likes a bit more later on (dances willingly in prime empire on the side and in season 2/3, trained lloyd in ballet)

Tho on the ither side show annoyance at the spin harmony dance training

So im thinking he doesn't mind certain dances but there's some he quite dislikes (I would say maybe ballet, waltz and tango)

But he quite likes hip hop, bhungra and bharatanatyam (I like to think lily taught him the last two)

Like maybe he doesn't like the flowy, fluid or elegant esque sorta dances but ones more grounded in movements

Okay I lowk want some of the versions of lloyd that he faced in his trial to become reoccurring characters

But not in the normal sense no

Like either wverytime lloyd passes out he goes to a headspace with them there

Or even having them like ghosts or beings only he can see and making judgements on his choices you know like the devil and angels on the shoulder

Okay so now I had the main ninjas posted (Dr ninja, side characters, villains ans other members if the team will be done when I create more headcanons for them)

Here are some of the ships I like and will post headcanons plus art and maybe AUs

Ships i adore

I adore jaya esp the variations and the dynamics of rogya (tho I lowk call it stormshipping or Stormbound )

Pixane super cute (saw someone call their ship compatible shipping that was cute)

Wolfcat (jordana x sora) live for the dynamic of how one is desperate to be seen and heard feeling a one sided rivalry and how the other is just seeing her for the first time

Lloyd x akita, i like it they fit well together both very nature based people (saw that they're also called wintergreen or greenwolf that's adorable)

Greenflower (I think that's what it's called) I like it and some of the fan art I see fir it is so good like wow, I really hope they bring Brad back to interact with lloyd somehow, I wouldn't even mind gene i just wanna know how they grew up being at darkley's (this is Brad × lloyd for those unaware)

Okay I know misako is a hot point but I really do like her and garmadon's relationship I just think the writers didn't know what to do with her horribly writing on how she left lloyd and horrible writing of ANOTHER LOVE TRIANGLE again tho I started liking this ship after seeing fanart of their moment in the music video(I was looking at the fanon wiki they're also known as oniheart or historyshipping thats quite fun)

Okay new one but I actually really like arin x eurphraisa they're actually so cute and I can't explain it but they give bodyguard/knight and runaway princess or like sawako and kazehaya (they're apparently called airjitsu shipping... thats probably why I couldn't find their name combo also airpie and wind pie)

Okay actually I really like geode I just think they need to add more on to geo's character, like I have alot of headcanons for geo, and I really wanna know more about how they got so close in the 3-5 years of the merge

Im neutral to these

Kailor - they cool, but they keep going on and off i don't know how I feel

Lava i actually don't mind weirdly enough, like Im usually not a fan of the main 4 shipped together seeing them as sworn brothers but they have weirdly enough chemistry

Llorumi - I weirdly hate and like it mainly for the complexities of both characters but I don't see them lasting as it's toxic to both sides

Wyldfyre x roby - they're cool nothing much

Fraksora - well i don't really care for the ship, I don't hate it but im not really a fan either, I do like that it's an added layer to represent mixed race couples but the thing is while yes they gave them more scenes together I can't see the two of them as anything but friends

Ships i dislike/hate

Lloyd x any of the ninja

Greenflame gets a special mention as I see it WAY TOO OFTEN

Morro x any of the ninja -im not a fan of it because yes he's dead and stopped aging i just feel iffy because of the age stuff

-sibling ships

-self cest ships... they look too alike it feels weird and akin to twins that I feel uncomfortable

-lloyd x ras ...yeah I know its popular i just can't see it, im sure ras knew how to love but in his current state I can't see it as anything but abusive or toxic, also doesn't help that im unsure how old ras is

-any ships of the new ninja and the old ninja

-and controversial but plasma... I can see why people ship them and all I just feel iffy about because of nya and jay being canon and a good chunk of nya and Jay's characters being each other, and kai being " I'd do anything for my sister" I mean other people can ship it im just not a fan because of the implications, again these are my own opinions and people can ship these just i will personally not interact with these ships, tho in like an AU where jaya never happened and or such I wouldn't mind the ship

-wu x misako personally not a fan, I like them better as friends and I think it wouldn't last long in the running (mainly because I think the ship is boring)

-Aspheera x wu -genuinely seen too much of it fanfiction wise and while I didn't mind it first then I was like I need more to aspheera's character to genuinely care for the ship

Okay lets put out my favorite ninja nya now

Nya

•chinese Japanese (again because her and kai having alot of elements from both cultures)

•when she was born she had had pin straight hair but after a while she stopped caring for it when she was 7 to 8 so she had kai chop it off not knowing how choppy kai would done it and by the time she was older (lets say 12 to 16) it grew back alot more wavy and textured

• she has two plushies from childhood she holds on to, one dragon that was given by maya n ray when she was an infant another being from kai when he made his first pay check and got it for her birthday

•has facial marks from seabound (they glow when she uses her powers)

•after seabound she had gotten a blue dragon tattoos on her shoulder (kinda water color look) in memory of what she did in seabound

• I see her with blue eyes (after sea bound her eyes glow when using her powers)

• after returning from the ocean she noticed her elemental capabilities increased

• growing up with just kai and no proper female role models minus the occasional neighbor that never stayed, she never felt comfortable in her own feminity, she felt uncomfortable when she tried her red lipstick thinking she looked like "a clown" and it didn't help that she continued to be surrounded by boys for the longest time in the ninja house. So after hands of time she had more experience and more girly friends, she felt more comfortable and Free in her feminity, she grew her hair out into a ponytail, she started doing her make-up properly (she def overlines her lips, pilot - season 7 she had cupid bow and then it was round until seabound where her merged form had cupid's bow)

• while she may be the shortest ninja she's the most versatile and agile ninja on the team

•she's painted everyone's nails (jay dark blue with yellow patterns, kai red and gold, cole black with one nail orange, zane got white nails with blue tips, lloyd got green and gold)

•bits of her hair is blue mainly because she liked dying her hair (after seabound a part of her hair was permanently blue)

•she steals clothes from the entire team (based on fanart I saw)

•her element keeps her skin permanently hydrated but that doesn't stop basic skin care routine

• jay taught her the basics of inventing as she felt abit useless stuck at the monestary as they were on missions eventually there was nothing more for him to teach her so she would go to the library and auto shops to learn more about inventing herself

•lowk would unknowingly use her element as far back as pilots but it wasn't big so it went ignored (unlike the other ninja she was able to use water before her true potential so maybe she just needed to learn how to control it on will)

•nya n jay had their dragon plushies a fake marriage ceramony

•she loves to paint and draw (yes I know canonically thats cole n zane's thing but this headcanon comes from the movie and Wu's tea shorts)

•she taught jay how to paint and draw, he had the basics down from blueprints with his dad Ed, but she taught him how to take it to the next level, its why he was spending his time painting and drawing her when she was merged, it made him feel closer to her

•after she merged with the sea she still heard the ocean call so she had a peice of very very impure low percent vengestone arm band to keep the sea quiet

•lloyd was the one who inspired her Samurai X, yeah she was thinking of a mech to help out but she got the idea for the name when he was yapping about starfarer to her "he something called a samurai in space but I don't really know what that is so I call him starfarer or Fritz Donagon"

•has a sketchbook where she keeps her blueprint rough drafts, sketches and even pressed flowers of the flowers jay gives her (loads of waterlilies)

•the reason she's so self sacrificing is because she feels so guilty that kai had to give up his childhood to raise her

•after seabound she was able to breathe underwater thanks to her element and being part of the sea

•I've always preferred the jiang surname for her n kai over the smith surname

•in season three the reason why she felt so conflicted over cole n jay is because ignacia was a really traditional area -women are ment to be seen not heard, women must pick secure husbands that guarantee a future, kai tried his best to shield her from it but failed as he also fell victim to that mindset for a while, so to nya while she was struggling with her own identity as a woman or girl that machine made it worse as jay was already pretty insecure showing her cole made her overthink everything, cole was stable and secure, but jay made her happy, he made her laugh, with jay she had a warm fluffy feeling, but he's insecure and doesnt understand boundaries making her fall victim to the ideas that ignacia forced down the siblings throat, eventually when she made her choice not caring about ignacia ideals she thought if she went to jay she would just be seen as his horrible girlfriend again not to mention she wanted to make her own choice not fall into stereotypes and he didn't deserve that so she avoided him until after skybound

•has a wave ripple scar likely from her time in the ocean

Can you tell i adore the idea of being merged with the ocean and the possibile after effects

(Do you think nya could technically bloodbend? I mean probably but she wouldn't use it)

It's sparky's turn (mainly because he has the second most meaning we get to post my goat Tomorrow)

Jay

•Waisan (im still tryna decide Korean Greek or Korean European)

• has jersey accent from Ed

• watched alot of British shows as a kid resulting in that kinda slang

• being the only kid in a junkyard in the middle kf the dessert he grew up being comfy sleeping naked (had to correct this habit later on but went back as soon as they got back to having their own rooms after sharing rooms in the bounty)

•his skin is usually buzzing with electricity but its not really painful just more on the static feeling kinda side

•big cinema nerd, grew to especially love romantic dramas because of nya tho his all time favorites will always be action (yea sure he used to think they were cringe but that was when edna would watch them all the time and he would sit through with her)

• definitely still has his eyebrow slit just used to cover it up with an eyebrow pencil after hands of time (and he continued to do so until the year nya was gone and then after he lost his memories in the merge)

• stopped straightening his hair and wearing concealer after hands of time

•has a tattoo of a blue phoenix in memory of nya in seabound and to keep to himself as a reminder to protect her/watch her back always

• also him and nya have matching yin and yang tattoos

• after the merge he was pretty confused about these tattoos and just assumed they didn't mean anything but covered them up with his clothes at the administration

• in the pilots he was the shortest (even shorter than nya) then around after skybound/hands of time he got a growth spurt so he was the tallest (i see him as tallest because i like the idea of tall wimpy lowk pathetic nerds and his dad is a action hero main lead and I see libber as a model and pretty tall)

•he has stormy grey greeny/blueish kinda eyes, looking into them would remind you of a storm over the ocean

•he has the best speed and stamina on the team so his attacks usually depend on speed

•when his emotions get outta hand his skin has visible lightning but he can still reel it in enough but when he's angry or even scared the lightning tends to strike out on random

• he has that natural model/actor face from his bio parents

• has a naturally accelerated heartbeat

• he likes to gift nya waterlily bouquets

• him and nya have a habit of dancing during thunderstorms

• likes to kiss nya's hands

• very affectionate with nya, always hugging n kissing her in private while always complimenting and verbally telling her he loves her

• loves to ragebait kai n lloyd because they react the most

• very snarky sassy with the team (Shush eleven minute era wimpy coward jay doesn't exist to me he's still that sassy inventor who's anxiety makes him joke in danger)

• him and nya have projects they work on together as he was the one that taught her the basics of inventing

• rogue him did lowk crush on nya at first sight but he was already too trained in by ras to say anything he thought it was another part of tge mind games "no way they would have a woman that beautiful and perfectly tailored to my type to be interested in me"

• rogue gets invention ideas in his dreams like flashes but he can never remember anything from those dreams but the blueprints of the machines

• rogue never understood romantic relationships as whenever someone in the office showed intrest in him it just felt wrong to him

• chinese Japanese (this is because hin and nya have repeated both chinese and Japanese elements)

•his name came from him being the first child after maya n ray having fertility issues (such as a miscarriage) 凱 I found off the internet means victory, triumph (don't quote me on this is could be wrong)

•has a high spice tolerance

•after the seabound funeral he locked himself in his room with one of nya's plushies he got for her when they were kids and just cried, it stayed with him until she came back and after washing it left it on her bed, when she entered her room she smiled looking at it and hugging it as it smelled like home her big brother

•he sleeps either in his underwear or naked because he gets hot easily but was so used to living in a small home with his sister keeps bare minimum clothes on

• has a naturally really hot body temperature

•sometimes the tips of his hair turn into fire when his emotions get the better of him (used to be pretty often as he's the hothead)

•can step in lava but not for long before getting burns

• has a pretty good fire resistance but has burns on his hands from his days in the forge and before he got used to his element

•he has the best durability in a fight

•after having too much alcohol he breathes fire (coz alcohol is flammable)

•shortest of the team (with the execption of nya) and was one of his bigger insecurities for a while until character development

• token straight guy, tho he did experiment for a little while then ultimately decided he wasn't into guys

• helped teach jay how to forge and create their yinyang promise medallion

• a consistent back of the mind worry he has in Dragon's rising is the location of skylor and his parents

• I like jiang as a surname over smith

• even though nya n lloyd are adults ge can't stop seeing them as babies

• won't stop calling lloyd boogers

Okay headcanons time

COLE

•Indian German (lily being Indian and lou German [its because I see steele as his last name, yeah sure it's a Scottish last name maybe lou had some Scot somewhere up his bloodline)

•lily's Maiden name im debating either Bhuyan which on the name site said "means earth, soil" from a title for landowner derived from sanskrit or Kamat meaning people who work in soil on the same site I used

•oldest of the ninja

•aroace (and to add on that I see him and geo in a queer platonic relationship)

•he introduced nya to mehendi and she would paint his nails so they would have gossip nights where they did each others hands (and you know lloyd would barge in when he was younger and by the time he matured he was already part of the routine)

•he started out as tallest ninja but slowly he became the shortest/second shortest

•his attack style focuses on physical and Brute strength tied in with strategy

•him and lloyd watch ninjago's version of dance moms (came from a fanfic where modern au lloyd watched dance moms for the first time on kai's Netflix account)

•he still has his ghost scar on his forehead, he's been covering it up lately

•he never really had a favorite flowers growing up but if you ask him now he would always say lilies

•sometimes nya tends to remind him of his mom, not in her aggressive nature but her sense of justice always doing what's right (PLATONIC HEADCANON)

•he gave nya some of his mom's old dresses thats why nya has lily's dress in the dream short

•him and kai dated for a while until they broke it off mutually (cole realized he was ace)

• he still keeps a picture of his three families on him (lily n lou, the ninja family and the finders)

I've been rewatchung ninjago to prep for april 2nd dragons rising season 4, pretty hyped for that

Lloyd

•chinese/Japanese

•has retained his childhood intrests due to him aging out of it so fast (kinda like how I never got to play with toys as a kid and now im a huge Lego nerd at 18)

•closest to nya (hear me out on this is know kai is usually paired w him but nya was with him the longest, hung out with him the most especially babysitting him when the ninja were out on missions early seasons, then she was the one around in Zane's death and when the ninja were in the never realm, and my last point after her death is when he actually quit being a ninja for the first realm time, that's his big sister your honor and his lowk favorite)

•he definitely used to wear eyeliner and had an emo phase

•he had pointer teeth and sharp pupils like dragons

• after the merge he grew dragon horns, funky pointy ears and his hair grew insanely fast

•he puts his hair in either a braid or half up half down if he's too lazy to cut it

•his birthday is September 22 because of the ninjago movie release date

• is an ultra feminist after nya babysat him

•is scared of needles

• big sugar tooth

• was the shortest until the merge he was then taller cole n kai (that's a lie his horns just make him look taller)

Starting with zane because...

He has the least at the moment, I'll give him more in the future

Zane

•if he was human I think he'd be either Inuit or mongolian im just not sure what one is like better or feel is more aligned with him

•he is Asexual but not Aromatic as he may be a robot but he has human emotions, one being love something he feels often in the ninja family

•he was pretty short (like around preteen height) until rebuilt, then after season 3/4 his height was about second/third tallest

•best at strategy in teams

• him and pixal enjoy role play (well mostly him), they would download files if a character archetype and play it out for fun (like zane being a black n white detective or a pirate)

•as the ice emperor he would make these ice sculptures but none of them had a face or distinctive features (it would be of his ninja family that he can't remember)

•considers mini pix like a child to him

• creation day was sometime in winter/December
