For anyone asking what the big deal is, imagine if you had to show a certain amount of skin to be allowed in class. Whatever your comfort level is when it comes to showing too much skin, imagine it being illegal to cover that much, that’s exactly what this bullshit is doing.

It’s blatant Islamophoba, but it’s also demanding, legally demanding, that women show more of themselves than they are comfortable with… if they go out at all. It’s isolating and backwards and infuriating.

This is disgusting. Blatant Islamophobia. French fashion promoting headscarves for white women while hijabis are being targeted is just like white women in the US with dreadlocks while black women have to spend a fortune making their hair “workplace appropriate.”

I most of the time go for simple hair binding like with a hair tie because of the nerve damage in my hands and arms and how difficult it is to do anything else. But there is an undeniable change in how people behave toward me if I wear any kind of head scarf.
