"Don't you dare laugh." Jamil was staring up at Yuu.
Yuu covered their mouth with a hand in an attempt to hold back their laugh. A soft snrk escaped making Jamil frown.
"How was I supposed to know that the Mont Blanc I ordered would cause me to shrink?" the tiny boy asked, glaring at the grey haired prefect.
Said Prefect smirked and pointed to the sign. "Cause it says 'Special of the day; Enchanted Desserts' and you asked for the 'Special of the Day Mont Blanc? Which-" they scanned the sign before tapping a finger to it, "-is specified to shrink the consumer for 24 hours." They smirked at him.
Jamil huffed, plopping his tiny body down on the table. "Cursed tiny writing. Please tell me I'm not stuck with you for the entirety of this," he pleaded. Yuu's grin widened.
Jamil looked down in horror. "I'm not gonna survive, am I?"

"Hey~, Khione?" The brunette turned toward her unofficial housewarden. At least, they're the one who's loudest most of the time.
"Yes?" She asked. She had a vague idea of what was coming but it was only a feeling.
"Well, that bakery Jamil took me to had a special and he didn't read the sign so~~, can you take care of him until it wears off?" Yuu grinned, a sparkling hint of their blue eyes peeking through their bangs as they held up a shrunken, disgruntled, and pouting Jamil.
Khione looked at Jamil then back to the Prefect. "I don't have a choice do I?"
Yuu's grin widened unnaturally. "Nope! You two keep pining after each other but never talk. So I'm making you talk!"
"Of course you are." Khione cupped her hands, bringing them up to Yuu's. Jamil grumpily clambered over to her hands, stifling a yawn.
"Looks like the garden snake needs a nap~," Yuu cooed with a chuckle. Khione nodded looking down at Jamil who bared his teeth at the grey haired student, which wasn't that effective. Yuu laughed at him causing him to turn to Khione with a huff.
"You better not tell anyone about this," he said jabbing a tiny finger towards her.
Khione chuckled softly. "Don't worry. I won't." She looked up to speak with Yuu, but the questionable teen was nowhere to be seen. Jamil looked as well, horror painting his face.
"I hate when they do that," he whispered in fear. Khione nodded in agreement.

Jamil was curled up on a pillow on the floor as Khione studied.
"Hey Jamil, could you help me with this question?" She asked, leaning over the side of the bed. Jamil nodded, leading to her reaching an arm down, fingers bent, creating a sort of elevator. He crawled over, relishing in the warmth of her palm as she lifted him up to the side of her workbook.
"Oh this one. Yeah it's tricky," he nodded, kneeling on the page.
"It's even harder when you're from a different universe, said universe's history means nothing, there's seemingly no way home, and several of your upperclassmen are mentally unstable to the point that the "rare" side effect to magic is considered a normal Tuesday to most of your friend group," Khione ranted.
Jamil looks up at her momentarily, then down in shame.
"I never said I was sorry, did I?" he asked, hair falling in front of his face.
"No. No you did not," she answered.
He let out a dry laugh, "Well I am. I'm so sorry for hurting you."
"It'll take me a bit to forgive you. But I accept your apology. However, I think studying is a no-go for the rest of the evening," Khione grimaced at the book.
Jamil chuckled as Khione set the book to the side. "Fair enough. You seem really tired. Let's get some sleep."
Khione nodded as the tiny boy climbed back onto her hand, which she then lowered to his pillow. One of the Ramshackle ghosts appeared, tucking a blanket over the boy.
