Everything Iāve Ever Let Go Of Has Claw Marks On It
To save someone else going through eleventy billion reverse image searches - the sculptor is David Altmejd.
Thought 2, 2019
If you are on a Windows 11 computer, pause everything you are doing for one minute and:
Open computer settings
Click on Accessibility on the left-hand menu
Scroll down the Accessibility menu and click on the Keyboard Option
Under the "related settings" tab, click "Typing" which should have a description of "spellcheck, autocorrect, text suggestions."
Turn off the AI "correct misspelled words"
and most importantly: turn off Typing Insights.
[ID: a screenshot of the above mentioned Windows 11 settings, showing that Typing Insights is now turned off, with the following description from Microsoft: "Windows is using artificial intelligence to help you type To help you save time and type efficiently, Windows can learn to suggest words, autocorrect spelling mistakes, and interpret swiped typing. Take a look at the insights below to see up-to-the-minute stats on how Windows has learned to improve typing for you. These stats are stored only on this device and Microsoft does not collect the typing insights data." End ID]
"But Mx. November, it says right there Microsoft doesn't collect the typing insights data!"
I mean, yeah, it says that..... for *now.*
It also only specifies that Microsoft themselves don't collect it, and they wouldn't have made this something that I was automatically, secretly opted in for without my knowledge if they didn't have something to be gained by me not knowing it exists!
I only found this because a cat walked on the keyboard and turned on Filter Keys and while trying to figure out why my keyboard was just making chirping noises instead of typing, I happened to click on "typing insights" by accident.
Generative AI, and especially AI that is used to "personalize" and track your activity across the web and on your computer are never going to be in your best interest, it is always going to serve these companies in whatever way will line their pockets the most, and all it takes is updating their terms of service once, and then all of that data they promised they weren't collecting suddenly all belongs to them.
2026 booktok discourse: sad books are a cognitohazard (they make you sad)
unfortunately some people on twitter are very literally already there
Same genre I fear
The ideal book is 500 blank pages which act as a safe space that allows the reader full control over the narrative without running the risk of nonconsentually forcing their train of thought or violating their cognitive boundaries

Bitttchhh the last time I reblogged some bullshit like this I booked a 2k 30minute shoot lmao
Elder Maxson story is really tragic when you realize he had no friends at 10 except Liberty Prime who he was banned from seeing because Scribe Rothschild said it was stupid. There were no children at the citadel, he was treated like a soldier and not a kid, he was told he was āforged from eternal steelā which he didnāt believe. He was only 15 when he became Elder, thatās a freshman in high school. And as of fallout 4 he is only 20.
Imagine forcing a kid onto a pedestal, isolating him, and then putting the worlds problems on him. That is tragic as hell.
Look, if I introduced a WIP on here excitedly and then promptly never mentioned it again, it doesnāt mean Iām not working on it, it means Iām slowly rotating it in my mind like a rotisserie chicken and then went out to the grocery store to buy several other rotisserie chickens while I wait for it to cook and then slowly started rotating those rotisserie chickens and repeat
Never before have I seen a better description of this.
This lady I follow on tiktok has been creating character designs to encourage people to make fantasy characters who wear a hijab and they are so incredibly cool!
This is a compilation of looks they have done so far and they are all really awesome
Here's the link to her tiktok profile btw
Happy Pride!
Every pride, you must reblog this. No exceptions
I love that four different people on my feed scheduled this joyous person to reblog by 8am on June 1. I look forward to seeing this a dozen more times today.

Love In The Dark // Adele
What Iād give for one of the Cinderella remakes to go into how when youāre in an isolated and abusive situation, sometimes you need to be saved and youāre not weak if you canāt escape by yourself
Iāve never been a fan of bad faith reinterpretations of fairy tales, especially ones which flatten the originals into āprincesses is saved by a prince and nothing elseā, to then go #girlboss. The princess can save herself because sheās a strong female character! (Implying if youāre in a bad situation, itās because youāre not strong enough to get out)
Also the concept of the Prince over the course of like⦠a couple hours hanging out with CinderellaĀ going from āHaha nice I really like youā to āoh fuck i can tell from context clues alone that your home situation is FUCKED UPā Ā itās good shit Ā āI have just met you but ON GOD Iām gonna get you out of there beautiful mystery womanāĀ Ā cinderellaĀ makes desperately yelling into the night āhow can I find you again!??!ā when sheās taking off that much more poignant really
Heās been trained to read the room. To read the context clues. To read politics and scheming and planning and people. Heās a Prince, itās either that or accidentally drink poison by age 15. And he reads her and ā¦
Sheās impossibly wealthy. The dress isnāt a fabric he can recognize, but itās beaded with cut diamonds, faintly milky opals that shimmer with a rainbow, little pale aquamarines, and somewhere are little bells gently ringing with each step - heās a Prince and he canāt afford to dress like that. The slippers ring too ⦠there is nothing like that crafted by the hands of humans. Thatās fairy stuff. She has an in with them that eclipses royal politics. She is powerful in the Old Ways.
All this wraps around the poorest woman heās ever seen in his entire life, and heās seen some very, very, poor people in his time.
Poor in money, but poor in āoh you poor thing!ā as well. This is someone who has been robbed blind. This is someone who carried themselves waiting for the lash, for a browbeating, for harsh, cruel, abrupt, punishment.
He expects her to be haughty, or hard, or meek or⦠something else⦠but sheās just nice. Sheās just ⦠nice.
The rigid posture comes out of his back, his tongue unsticks. Sheās like sitting by the embers of a low, calm, fire. He feels warmed and rested simply speaking to her. He wonders if itās magic, and it might be, but if it is it is magic that is her own.
And that terrifies him, because heās trained to see these things and he knows someone with a cruel hand is waiting to douse her, and snuff her, and beat the last glimmer out of her shining eyes - eyes that put that dress to shame and and and and⦠sheās gone.
Oh god, sheās gone. It will be all over her sweet, kind, warm face that she transgressed and ⦠oh god theyāll kill her, whoever they are. This will embarrass them and if thereās anything he knows, itās that you donāt humiliate someone who has power over you and walk away unscathed.
And all he has is a fairy slipper that will only ever fit her foot (itās not merely shoe size, itās a kind of spiritual fit as well), and the vain hope that he can keep such a bright light from burning out. It doesnāt even touch his heart that what heās feeling is a kind of pure philia, not until it enraptures him soul to bones, all at once. Oh god, oh no, oh shit⦠heās reached well above his station, butā¦he can try to be good and worthy.
The way he sees it, sometimes even the strongest people can be brought low and need just⦠a little help. She had enough in her to do whatever she had to do to free herself of those evil relations if she had to, but she shouldnāt have to. Thereās no glory in blood. Sometimes itās okay for the ending to be happily ever after.
So peaceful Souvenir. A brother singing ancient Andalusian song in Al-hambra palace.
Unmute
The right amount of melancholy
This is one of my most favorite AndalusianĀ muwashshahat (an Arabic poem thatās specifically written to be sung). It was written in the 3rd century by an Arab poet fromĀ Granada, so itās not very far fetched that the song has been sung at some point in that very palace centuries ago.Ā
These are the lyrics in Arabic and English, in case anyoneās interested.Ā
When he appeared with a sway in his walkĀ My darling infatuated me with his beauty Oh, my fate and my confusion Who will have mercy when I complain Of anguish in love Except for the holder of beauty?
