I have arcane as one of my only blocked tags (because of the show) and so when I was first scrolling the flight rising tag and I see a post tagged arcane I thought oh whoops tumblr is preventing me from seeing flight rising posts because of my blocked tag when in fact it’s just the flight they must be talking about. It was a Viktor fan dragon.

realised a way the layout update broke my workflow:

the a key on my keyboard is broken. i keep a lower case a copied on my clipboard and paste it every time i need it. however, when i need an upper case a i need to hunt around to find one to copy. on fr i've been doing this by highlighting the first letter of achievements or auction house in the sidebar. however, the update has extended the link space to the edges of the sidebar. and this means highlighting just the first letter has become unviable. and now it's much harder for me to write my forum posts that require a capital a.

update: i have created a custom keyboard layout wherein y-h-b are punted left to where q-a-z are on uk qwerty layout and the keys between those spaces shifted right one accordingly. i can then toggle between layouts at will. pasting is still generally quicker i think but this will help if i can't find any a's nearby AND lets me use wasd properly again which means i can read books as i coli. #productivity

nevermind. coli uses hardcoded references to the physical keys and not to the keyboard values i've set. which does make sense considering users have various different layouts and there's no customisation. but is annoying in my use case. still can help with general a input

Who else remembers having to wait ages for a match-up because barely anyone hung out in there, so the only way to really guarantee a match at all was to ask in the forums for someone to join you

scrying workshop being in the spiral keep is so funny. imagine being in a clan from the southern icefield or the viridian labyrinth or dragonhome and you just traveled to the bottom of the ocean hundreds of miles away from your lair only to see that your children are going to be ugly and you just have to go back home with that knowledge
