Victoria Frankenstein Changing Portrait

Tried out 2D art for the first time in a while! What started as a pose practice sketch turned into Victoria, which then turned into my attempt at a Haunted Mansion-style changing portrait. I finally learned gif-making for this!

I'm really enjoying getting to read One Piece for the first time (it's not nearly as overwhelming as I expected a 30-year ongoing book--well, manga/comic but you get it-- series to be!) but it's a bit frustrating that I CANNOT engage with the fandom at all due to being this late to the party

Here's my follow up to my Barbie x Frankie Stein project: Barbie (Odile sculpt) as Draculaura!

I thought I'd posted her here already, but I guess not! I designed her with Monsters Unchained Dracula in mind, even picking some of her features from one of the Brides from the ride. I also combined G1 and G3 Monster High elements; she has a petite curvy body sculpt to go with the reboot look, but hair and fashion heavily based on the original. I also based her eye makeup on Ghouls Rule Draculaura because her default faceup looked a bit plain on a Barbie sculpt.

This doll involved a reroot, partial repaint, rebody, custom hand-patterned and hand-sewn clothing, repainted boots, and fabricating the parasol. I'm still testing out methods for making a more accurate parasol too!

One Piece (Live Action Version) appeals to the same part of my brain as the Princess Bride... A pirate adventure whose primary language is comedy, but the drama hits real good too... just minus most of the romance with a heaping dollop of ridiculous added.

Well written, VERY well acted (I therefore assume well directed), and well edited.

VFX aren't terrible... most of the time.

I'm about through with Season 2 and really stoked season 3 is already in the works.

I am slowly losing my mind over the shift towards video as the default media format.

I do not find this to be an efficient way to absorb information. I am bored and distracted by the time the largely unnecessary introduction is over. I can't use ctrl+f to find the specific information I'm looking for. If there are instructions to follow, I don't want to have to constantly pause and back up to the part I need.

At least give me a fucking transcript.

Debated posting her here, but well, it's my art, I'm proud of it, and she's technically a Universal Monster so she fits! Here's my take on Frankie Stein of Monster High, in Barbie style!

This customization involved: reroot, body/leg swap, complete repaint of the face and body, painted shoes and purse, completely custom-patterned and sewn clothes, and custom-fabricated accessories. I even hand-sculpted that tiny "skullette" tie clip!

I had hoped that the official Barbie X Monster High crossover was going to give us gothic/monster Barbie dolls, not just Frankie in Barbie's swimsuit. When that didn't happen, I had to make it myself! I was also inspired by the original prototypes for Monster High, which used Barbie bases. I also combined my favorite aspects of original Monster High and its reboots--the robot leg was too cool to ignore.

The believers of the "Anakin mind tricked Padme into falling in love with him" theory suffer from the same mistake: The inability to acknowledge that, yes, Padme, is also a human being too (which is a mistake Sabé makes in the comic the Queen's Shadow, where Padme herself tells Sabé, in an exasperated voice "I'm more than Amidala, you know?"), they only see the queen and the senator, which coincidentally, it's the exact same attitude those who associated with her display (and I bet my ass that that they are also unable to see that women are people too).

No, kids, Anakin didn't mind trick Padme into falling in love with him, she did it because he was the only person who looked beyond the titles: With Anakin, Padme can simply be Padme, not Senator Amidala or Queen Amidala.

I feel like the part of this "theory" is also people ignoring that smart/accomplished women fall for losery dudes all the time. Like that's just a thing that happens.
