Close ups of Mumtaz Mahal (Arjumand Banu Begum; 1593-1631). For Mumtaz illustration, I try not to deviate too much from her original portraits, as they are already very beautiful. Drawing her elaborate jewellery & clothing was a joy, but what takes the cake for me, has to be her heart shaped pattern on her sleeve in the original portrait.
