ACNH: FISHING TOURNEY TIPS!
Hi everyone! It’s April 11 meaning the first fishing tourney is here. Here are a few tips to make your fishing tournament a success!
Before you talk to CJ, do the following:
Make a ton of bait before doing the tournament (minimum of 10 each try).
Make sure you have a good fishing rod and equip it. (Bring 2-3)
Open your inventory and hover over the bait so when you open it again, it’ll be on the bait and all you have to do is spread it on the water.
Find the nearest fishing spot from C.J. where you can get there for less than 10 seconds. Put a marker on it (can be a shell or something).
FISHING SPOT: This is super important! The spot must be ideal to spread bait AND cast your rod WITHOUT moving! This saves a lot of time! I personally prefer the sea and this is my spot: (Directly below the plaza)

Unfortunately, this oarfish (10th fish) was not counted because the timer ended before I could put the fish in my pocket.
In my experience, the 10th fish is usually an oarfish (could be a coincidence but it already happened twice)
Save time running around like a madman by making a ton of bait!
You can still sell to C.J. fishes that you catch within the day or fishes that you kept in storage previously. (He buys it for 1.5x more than Timmy and Tommy)
You get points every time you do the tourney. 10 points gets you an item from him. 13 items = Bronze award which you get the day after
I read that you can fish with friends and get more points through that. Not only that, they won’t have to pay the 500 fee after your first try

Tournament Length: Three minutes
