Got misgendered (as usual) in a grocery store by a kid, and that made me think a bit.

The thing about misgendering is that it's not people being wrong or doing an oopsie like i have G cups.

If you refer yourself to my tits it's pretty easy to figure out that i'm not a guy, and that's the thing like people call me sir they aren't being like. Ah Yes of course a Man (on account of the G cup tits. they're hard to miss)

Like when they see me they see a tranny, and their brain rings the Tranny alarm, and that's why they call me a man. because they know i'm not one and that upsets them because they think i'm supposed to be one.

Anyway yeah, i think thats the thing to remember about getting misgendered, like, a lot of the time, people know. People know, and they're doing it Because they know, because when they see a beautiful girl that's a little clockable, they can only see someone trying to Trick them into seeing a woman when it's actually a man (perhaps even one could say a trap).

I think it's important to remember that it's a purposeful act, both politically and personally, I think it helps to remember that they don't see a guy when they look at you. They see the tgirl that you are and that's what makes them upset.

Remember that when they treat you like that it's because you're what you wanted to be, and it makes them fucking pissed.

I've been thinking a lot lately about how many trans women I've known who come to realize over time that they experience much more bottom dysphoria than they've consciously understood

I think this is partially a problem of trans women being fetishized, a trans woman's value being equated with her penis, but I think it's also partially a problem of availability. personally if something is difficult to attain then I have an internal reflex to unconsciously convince myself I don't want or need it. for this reason and many others it needs to be made easier

Re: the last post, the article mentions that some places use clams to test the toxicity of the water. It’s like that in Warsaw- we get our water from the river, and the main water pump has 8 clams that have triggers attached to their shells. If the water gets too toxic, they close, and the triggers shut off the city water supply automatically.  

The clams are just better at measuring the water quality than any man-made sensors.

This is also an example of a broader trend of erasing third spaces for teenagers and children. There are already few places where teenagers and children can go without spending money: the idea of strolling around a mall is almost universally dead and in most places (in the USA at least, elsewhere I understand this specifically to be different) public parks, libraries (which are underfunded and being shut down, as well as having their contents banned), and community centers simply do not exist. And now there is a ridiculous notion rising that large groups of teenagers cause mayhem, property damage, fights, and other such issues. Taking young people off the internet reduces the chance for them to get to know and socialize with other people their age, including people who they might never have met otherwise.

Not to mention that this is part of a concerted effort to control what young people see and thus understand (at least in the USA). For example public libraries are continuously being shut down and are almost always underfunded, especially in certain states. Coupled with statewide book bans, school district book bans, and bans on certain topics in school districts this will result in a lot of young people having a worse off understanding of the world, and of themselves simply because they will see less.

"Oh but it's not going to be that bad, they're only going to ban pornography and whatnot." Wrong, it's almost always social media first, just take a look at Australia, the UK, and the majority of proposed laws on the subject in the US.
