tbh many people say they're supportive of facial differences when they're really really not. i think its worth really reflecting on how you react to facial differences. like do it now. do it this week. what context you see people with facial differences in usually. how do you feel. and if that feeling is negative that's an association you must break. it can be broken and it should be and every person with a face difference is owed the basic regard of their humanity that people without a face difference gets to take for granted
@/prev tags im not really sure how to feel about your contributions on this post. i have a facial difference, so i think you can imagine, its not very nice to hear people like you saying "oh my immediate reaction is disgust but im working on it!". it feels the same as when white people start flagellating themselves and saying" im white but im so sorry im so sorry im awful" on a post made by a coloured person, you know? (im speaking as someone who also is not white). im sure you're trying to show that you're inclusive or accepting or trying to better yourself as a person, which at the end of the day is a good thing, but there really are some thoughts (like the one about initially being disgusted by facial differences) you should keep to yourself. otherwise you just kind of sound like an asshole
