The Hawkeye Series has truly solidified this…

Clint and Natasha are soulmates.

People can never deny Clint’s and Natasha’s love for each other… whether you see them as partners, friends, brother/sister, lovers, or whatever… these words alone do not begin to describe who they are to each other … except soulmates.

People fail to understand what soulmates are. Most people will never find their soulmate. It’s not about friendship, attraction, romance, sex, marriage, or whatever other superficiality. 

It can encompass one or more of these components but in the end it’s more than all of that. It’s about having the deepest and most emotional connection… someone who is truly your other half.

No matter what the universe or timeline, these two will always be drawn back to each other.

Will forever miss seeing these two together again. I love them both.

Hawkeye Deleted Scene about Clint Barton’s Dark Childhood

hawkeye being on disney+ means there’s no concrete reason for a strict run time, meaning I’ll never understand how you could delete FIVE MINUTES worth of the title character’s backstory when we’ve never seen any of it before, or even told it.

“the hawkeye series will dive into clint’s past.” you mean ‘past’ being something that happened less than five years ago for the character? not any other pivotal moment in his life for example THIS??

they really go so hard on this family that he has, who does nothing for his story, without ever diving into where he actually came from, or what he came from. which was almost nothing - and that is so important and completely parallels kate’s story! hello!!!!!

it doesn’t help that one of the directors flat out said that they weren’t touching on SHIELD because they, for whatever reason, thought it wasn’t ‘relevant’ but how can anything be irrelevant for a character when you know nothing about them yet? absolutely everything is relevant at this point.

clint barton was born to a young mother, who likely fled with him from harold who was an abusive father, and explains why barney hasn’t been brought up in the mcu while ALSO giving more reason to why clint is more of a quiet loner type in the mcu. he’s been on his own for a long while but still kept his heart.

he was forced to grow up and be tough, he’s been making different calls since the beginning. took his own mother’s words and used them even if it meant giving her up, because he listens to his heart and he knows what’s right deep down. this is all so important and I love clint more just with these five minutes.

I would so much rather see more of this part of clint’s life and how he came to be in SHIELD, than continue on with a farm and 4 people that are obviously tied to him so you don’t need screen time to show it, there have always been and will always be more important things in clint’s life to show on screen than them.

I’m so sorry that your backstory was given up for bad child acting and some dialogue about a watch, clint. hope everyone still enjoys it here until it officially comes out.

Like I always said, MCU always had something against Clint Barton. It’s like they don’t feel like it’s ever worth putting the time into developing his character. The fact that MCU would disrespect his character so much and not include this little tidbit about character into the Hawkeye series.

The creative team seemingly could not find 5 minutes to integrate into supposedly his own show? 🤯 Nope they had to keep the episodes real short and sideline details about who Clint to make room for :

A post credit Broadway song

A storyline about a watch that involved a background character’s story

50 million reminders from his family to Clint about how he is not going to make home in time for Christmas.

Hi sorry to bother you but why are mcu fans excited about Laura being Agent 19??? Like I know MCU is trying hard to make her relevant but this is f* up. Not only is her whole role "being the supportive wife living in the middle of nowhere on a farm" (which is cool I guess but) we have mockingbird. At this point I don't think he'll ever be free and the ending suggested that. Idk how Renner's cool with that ://

Firstly, I wouldn't say that Renner's cool with it. We don't know how he feels, but given that he is a clintnat and he's expressed his dislike of and confusion surrounding the farm family, I would assume that he isn't but he also doesn't have any creative control over Hawkeye. He has a contract to abide by and fulfil. Plus, considering the Laura is Agent 19/Mockingbird thing was never planned and we have confirmation from the writers that it was written solely because Linda asked for more, I'm sure it wasn't something that was known before anyone signed on for the show.

As for the fans being excited about it... I don't know. I think a lot of people don't understand that "Mockingbird" isn't a mantle, it was a nickname that became a codename so Bobbi is the only Mockingbird so they don't understand the reason that people are upset, and I also know that a lot of people have been seeking validation for Laura since she was introduced - even though I feel that this validates her less because they had to give her a plot belonging to someone else in search of relevance, which makes her even less relevant. I don't know. A lot of people have projected onto Laura and made her their own original character so that's a whole issue behind this too, because projecting personality onto a character that doesn't have one makes them tangible to the projector and then when people express their dislike/disinterest/acknowledge that the character is essentially a cardboard cutout, it becomes a problem because people that have projected think this character isn't being seen when in reality, fanon is not canon. But I think that's the reason that some people are happy she's Agent 19 and possibly Mockingbird- because they like their fanon and feel that it's validating of it, while in my opinion at least (and the majority of the Bobbi and/or ClintBobbi fans I've seen), it's disrespecting Bobbi Morse, her story, and her relationship with Clint.

And honestly, yeah, Clint will probably be stuck in this farm family plot for good unless they either a.) follow the Secret Invasion comics plot where Bobbi is actually a skrull or b.) follow Clint and Bobbi's marriage plot where they get divorced (they get divorced on Valentine's day lol). Or they could just make my life easier and make like Ultimates and yeet the whole family.

I’ve said this before about some people seeking validation for her presence and I do agree about some fans projecting too much onto her thus making them highly sensitive about any comments against her.

In the end… to each their own. We fans can agree to disagree but I’ll continue to sit here perfectly comfortable in my own corner forever addicted to Clint and Natasha.

I love how Clint takes out his hearing aid exposing his vulnerability and then unabashedly talks to Natasha out loud in public… letting everyone knows how he feels.

This is some major growth where in the beginning he couldn’t talk about her to opening up so publicly.

Clint facing a dark decision about becoming Ronin, possibly ending Maya’s life or risking his own life in the process, as he is worried about the big guy stepping in, decides to talk to the two most important women in his life.

His wife says do what you have to do as she trusts his judgment. Clint admits to being surprised by her unexpected response.

Yelena and Clint Finally Meet

I have been waiting for these two to meet for months! This scene has left me wanting so much more.

Clint obviously feels he has an obligation to Natasha to emotionally protect her baby sister. I wished, though, Clint was completely honest with Yelena about what actually happened, at Vormir. Even though Yelena probably would not have believed him, at first, I think she deserved to hear all the truth.

Linda Cardellini would love to head an MCU movie as Hawkeye's wife but is most positive that it's a mute point.

And look, I hate that she's ripped on for being a housewife. I'm a housewife. That is NOT at all my issue with her. Clint whistling to Yelena shows how strong a bond he had with Natasha. You really gotta think about how easily Natasha shared her secret whistle, for her sister, with Clint… the one person she refuses to keep secrets from. I wish we got to see Clint and Natasha share these private conversations with each other when we had the chance.

Clint was trying so hard to stay calm so he can be strong for the both of them, but in the end, he too became overwhelmed by his emotions.

Yelena exclaiming how much she loved Nat so much broke Clint into pieces. In those seconds (which felt like minutes) before he responded, you can see him fighting his emotions as he replayed his private moments with Nat in his head.

As I said before, Clint continues to open up more and more about his feelings. We always knew Clint loved Natasha. Vormir sealed the deal on that, but this is the first time we see Clint admitting, out loud to another person, how much he loved and still loves Natasha.

Considering this was their first meeting, I can understand why Clint wouldn’t unload all his feelings with Yelena. Ultimately, Clint is very private at heart. I’m sure his intimate memories of Nat means so much to him, he is not ready to share, even with Yelena. Clint would want to keep those private emotions and memories tucked away in a special place in his heart.

Those two still have so much to talk about.

They are the two closest people to Natasha and their love for Natasha is what bonds them forever.

Laura Barton... Agent 19??

There has been a lot of controversy about this.

The problem stems back to the Barton family. It seems that the family and Laura’s character were originally added to the MCU without much thought or insight. MCU Clint Barton still doesn’t have an origin story (omg why), so Clint’s family and his wife also don’t have a background story, bedsides being used to show how Clint is more “normal” compared to the other Avengers.

Fast forward 6 years later, MCU seems to want to move away from the “normal” angle. In attempt to make Laura more interesting and validate her role as Clint’s wife, MCU decided to skim through the comics and say since Bobbi was previously married to Clint then let’s use part of that story to enhance Laura’s character.

I don’t know how Laura Barton fans feel about this change because Laura being Agent 19 is a completely opposite and different character than how Laura was originally presented in MCU. If you love Laura for who she was before, do you still love her now that she’s a different person?

I feel for Bobbi Morse fans. MCU is now disrespecting and destroying another marvel comic character. If you look at the comics or agents of shield (I know it’s not canon), Laura does not come close to representing who Mockingbird truly is. This just comes off as a quick fix to early mistakes made by MCU.

If you want to create original MCU characters, then MCU should take the time to develop origin stories for them and do not steal or alter marvel comic characters without first understanding who those characters are to begin with.

As always, some people will agree with all of it, some of it, or none of it. Others won’t even care. Let’s just agree to disagree.
