Yeah... I mean, isn't the whole argument against zoophilia that animals can't consent? Why are radnormals complaining about people making adult content out of fully sapient creatures???

The argument typically used by antis is that they're against this sort of content because animals can't consent. Which... okay. Fine. Real life animals lack the mental capacity to consent to sex.

But if we're talking about sexual content with fictional sapient creatures, that argument clearly doesn't apply.

The ponies in MLP:FIM are all clearly adults with the same mental capacity as adult humans. They have jobs. Some are even business owners.

If the problem were just the presence of porn in a fandom that includes kids, I'm sorry to say that kids are going to be in every fandom. But instead, the focus is on it being "zoo porn" specifically. It's the idea of sexualizing creatures that clearly are sapient and do have a capacity to consent.

I'll be honest, I don't care a lot about proship vs antiship debates in general. To me, that's just fandom drama.

What I do care about is the underlying ideology.

Because if you're against porn of fictional sapient ponies existing, can you truly fully support alterhumans?

Do you support alterhumans with animal mindforms? Do you support their rights to sexualize their own inner forms? Do you support plural systems with headmates who are in relationships with sapient animal-identifying headmates? Do you support alterhumans who want to be able to act sexually in VRchat in forms that look like their inner selves?

Alterhuman rights include sexual rights.

If you can't accept the existence of porn of sapient adult ponies, why would I trust that you'd be okay with systems whose elf-headmate is inner-world fucking their tiger headmate?

I hate when people compare sexual content of fictional animals and sexual content of actual animals and try to compare it to zoophilia.

1: zoophilia is defined as the attraction to real animals.

2: no, animals cannot consent. Fictional characters cannot consent either. They’re not real, they have no brain and no thoughts. Sure, they can talk and have personalities. Because someone wrote them that way. But the same goes for fictional animals. They are the exact same as fictional humans. Fictional animals cannot consent. Fictional humans cannot consent either. That means you shouldn’t be able to ship yourself with characters. Or ship other characters with characters. Or make “porn” of them. They weren’t asked! They didn’t say yes! 🥺 /sar

There are kids in almost every fandom and there is also NSFW content in almost every fandom but y’all only care when it’s something you don’t like. At this point, be against ALL NSFW content. Actually, maybe I shouldn’t be giving you ideas because I wouldn’t be surprised if it happened.

Dude no matter what term someone uses, someone will get upset. Someone uses “being?” Someone will be upset. Someone uses “people/person?” Someone else will be upset. I don’t like being called being, but I AM a being, and I know that lots of people do like being called that, so idgaf. Don’t expect people to put a whole list. “Hello beings, people, non humans, alterhumans, non beings, angels, demons, animals, non living people, users, friends, relations, enemies, girls, boys, dudes, enbies…”

Also don’t compare being called something you don’t like to being a victim. Someone calling you a being is not them assaulting you or abusing you. I’m sorry but this is genuinely ridiculous. Not everyone can cater towards your wants, and if you can’t accept that then I’m sorry but you probably shouldn’t be on tumblr or online in general. Honestly if it upsets you so much just block people who use the term “being” and interact more with those who use whatever term you prefer. I actually strongly recommend this. do NOT get me wrong. of COURSE the radqueer community can be harmful. (coming from someone who is neu-radqueer, but not against it).

this is NOT because of the labels. this is because of the pro-contact stances, xenosatanists, and the harmful transitioning that some radqueers encourage.

we are not denying that some people who are genuinely predators looking to harm others may disguise themselves as radqueer. but those AREN’T radqueers. those are just horrible people.

the only reason why we don’t often label ourselves as radqueer (even though we TECHNICALLY are) is because of the community and some of the people in it. i’ll also add here that the creator of radqueer also (I believe) coined xenosatanism. this DOES NOT mean that every radqueer is xenosatanic, nor do they support it. oh, and the reason why the new flag was created was due to the fact that the original creator was pro-contact. this is why I FIRMLY believe that you can not use the new flag while being pro-contact.

my point is? you can practice radqueer safely if you do not believe in harmful transitioning + pro-contact, and anything adjacent. don’t fucking demonise radqueers because there’s a few bad apples in there.

When we put the OG -genic terminology out there, we had no clue it'd get as big or as ~controversial~ as it did. It was a whim and not exactly the best thought-out one, but you know. Horses, closing barn doors, etc. It was supposed to be something helpful and useful! And, for the most part, something personal! If one of the terms jived with someone, they were welcome to use it, and if not, that's okay!

THIS IS STILL TRUE. It's next to impossible to know if something, systems included, formed purely because of trauma or not. And it ultimately doesn't! Fucking! Matter! Because all systems are systems, plurality is a spectrum of experiences, and if you're more than one then that's what matters.

If you find them personally helpful, even just as a way to sort of find community or folks with similar experiences, go ahead and use them! If you want to use them, use them! If you think the terms are useless, don't use them! If you think they can't possibly summarize your system's existence, don't use them! If you think they're just, well, stupid, FAIR so don't use them!

No one should be forced into a label they don't want, need, or like. No one should be prevented from using a term that fits them and is useful to them. And no one should be judged either way because there are plenty of reasons to use them and NOT use them.

for the record i’m not joking. i genuinely need help finding a community. i want to make friends and i struggle a lot with being social. all of those opinions are genuine and thought out for a reason. i researched them. i don’t harass anyone or bully people though. i ask this on a rq account because i don’t know anywhere else to go that’s pro para. i don’t hate radqueers or endogenic systems. i've identified as mogai adjacent since 2018.

i technically have a radqueer account but i lie about my stances to have friends, i'm not actually radqueer. i just don't know where to go. if someone could help me find genuine community i would really appreciate that.

I’m gonna say this again but I seriously think the MOGAI/LIOM community is the best fit for you. There are proship MOGAIs, pro para MOGAIs, anti endo MOGAIs, etc.

As I mentioned before, there is also a term called “proqueer” you might want to look into. Maybe also just research blankqueer terms on here, Pinterest, or TransID.org.

However I still think it’s not the best to be anti self diagnosis and anti endo… I’m not sure if you (anon) are gonna read this or not but I’m just gonna share my thoughts because I’m bored.

There is proof that endogenic plurality exists, and how would you even know or not?? You’re not in their head and I think it’s kinda dumb to tell people that what THEY feel in THEIR head is fake or invalid. You’re not them. /nm /gen

And about the self diagnosis, there’s absolutely nothing wrong with researched self diagnosing. I’m saying this as someone who is 1: pretty poor. Diagnosis can be very expensive. And 2: not in a safe environment to speak up about these things irl, I would get made fun of and never get a diagnosis. However what I have done is lots of research. In my life I have been diagnosed with 1 thing and the only reason for it was because I would die if I wasn’t diagnosed (chronic illness). And even then, I spent nearly months suffering without a diagnosis and was slowly dying. Never have I ever had the opportunity to be diagnosed with any type of mental disorder/disability/etc. and it’s really sad. The only option I have out of anything is to diagnose myself based on VERY long research. It helps me to understand myself better and know that I’m not alone. No I don’t take random online tests and I don’t look at a list of symptoms and be like “omg that’s so me I match like 3 symptoms.” The majority of people who self diagnose put a ton of thought and care into it. And it just disappoints me to see people who are actually against this.

Then I start looking through her blog more and see her telling all proshippers to kill themselves, even specifically calling out people who use it to cope and saying it’s not an excuse… does she really think that the antis she supports don’t see her as pro ship? She says she shouldn’t be harassed for writing noncon to cope but is harassing other people and suicide baiting them for writing about child predation to cope. I blocked them because I have no desire to see the sheer amount of hypocrisy. I didn’t harass her or tell her to kill herself because, shocker, I’m anti harassment and think everyone should be allowed to write what they want.
