#vent tw #it's pride month #It's nice to be an adult because I don't have to be a child ever again #I was so happy to have found my labels as a teen #wasn't very happy when my mother threatened to kill me if I “turned out trans or gay”#I don't remember how she found out about it but I got a lecture on how she didn't want an LGBT child and that I need to have children #being told by my family members that I was broken and a coward for not wanting certain types of attention was also an experience too #I know that these things are pushed by society and are ingrained in people #so I can't fully blame them for it even though their words really hurt and isolated me #I was sobbing in my HS counsellors office after she told me lots of people feel that way and that I wasn't a bad person for it #but something about having to validate unwanted romantic and sexual contact is...dangerous to teach children #I had people threaten me with corrective SA and try to groom me as a teen because my aroace labels was seen as an easy target #but it was obviously because they wanted to “help me” or because I “wasn't too ugly for love” or “I was clearly leading them on”#I never entertained any of it but I can't really begin to imagine what would have happened to me if I listened to what my family told me #it's hard to think about #but I'm always reminded of it when it comes to pride month #I'm an adult now so I can protect myself much easier... that's nice #I'm too avoidant for communities or people around me in general #but it's nice to see that being aro and/or ace is more accepted now than it was when I was younger #I love that for them #same goes for being nonbinary but tbh I never needed outside validatation for my they/them pronouns or gender presentation #I just do that for myself and it's thankfully enough for me #my family has really laid off of me now that it's clear the aroace and nonbinary labels are a core part of my presentation and identity #tw homophobia #tw aphobia #tw arophobia

“Does he-? No! Ingo’s my twin brother! He was with me when we were attacked! He got hurt, I need to find him, make sure he’s safe…” Emmet trailed off, the world starting to tilt around him. The man panicked and grabbed the sides of Emmet’s shoulders to steady him.

“Hold on now, you’re not exactly out of the woods yet. Let’s sit down and have a drink of tea while we wait for Nurse Pesselle and her Chansey.” He said, stepping behind Emmet and gently pushing him towards the fire pit.
