*rereads my own fics like little bedtime stories*
*notices all the typos that 327 edits didn't reveal*
By Talos-
I can’t wait for the fic that I’m going to write after this fic I’m not writing because I still have to finish another fic (which I can’t seem to focus on).
The fact that this blog is over a year old….
I started this on July 30th 2020 and I think it’s insane that it’s been over a year. I love everyone who has followed me and stayed by me even though I haven’t been writing lately.
Love you guys <3
will lamontagne’s whole character is just Having An Accent and Loving His Wife and honestly? need me a freak like that
Fuck off im so in love with this fictional man it’s embarrassing
Oh hello there, fic idea that I’m gonna fantasize about for days/weeks on end but not write. Nice of you to drop by
sir that’s my emotional support premise
Guy's night out but since Spencer doesn't really drink post S12 and they don't want him to feel singled out, the guys are out for breakfast instead.
Hi I love you all🖤
Reader’s Choice
A/N: This fic is basically just an excuse to talk about my favorite books in a fic. That’s it no other reason. In this there are spoilers for the books Six of Crows and Crooked Kingdom both by Leigh Barduguo, (which everyone should read) so be aware of that.

As much as I loved my job, being able to take down bad guys and make the world a better place, another good part was the plane rides.
I knew that most of the team didn’t agree with that sentiment, but I enjoyed have time to myself on the rides back. With such a busy schedule, I hardly had any time to do what I enjoyed; reading.
But the long plane rides back from the cases were the perfect time, especially after a case that ended well.
It was one of those days-a child safely returned to their parents and a kidnapper arrested- when I was sprawled out over the couch reading. I was rereading my favorite book for probably the 80th time, immersed in the world when I noticed someone standing over me.
“What’re you reading?” Spencer asked, trying to look down at the pages open in front of me.
“My favorite book.” I said, holding up the cover so he could see.
“Six of Crows?” He asked, looking at the cover.
“Yeah.” I said. It’s not that I didn’t want to have a conversation with Spencer about books, it was that I was getting to a really good part and wanted to continue reading.
“What’s it about?” Spencer asked.
I sat up, carefully putting my bookmark in my page, aiming to return to the book as soon as possible. “It’s about these six teenagers and basically, they go on a magical heist to break this one guy out of prison for a bunch of money.” I said.
Spencer furrowed his brows and then looked again at the cover. Then a realization seemed to dawn on him. “Oh, it’s a young adult book, isn’t it?” He asked.
“Yeah?” I said, confused as to where this was going.
“Well, it’s just that most of those books follow the same basic pattern. Let me guess...at least one of them has magic of some kind?” He said.
“Yes.” I said, still not sure what point he was trying to make.
“Is one of them connected to royalty in some way?”
“I mean...technically?”
“Does at least one of them die?”
“Yes, and his death still hurts my feelings to this day.”
“See, it’s just like any other young adult fantasy. Why don’t you read something more advanced?”
Oh, so this is how it’s going to go. I thought.
“Like one of those old dusty books written all by straight white men where women are only plot devices for the man’s journey?” I asked. “Thanks, but no thanks. I read enough of those in high school.”
I was tired and really just wanted to read my book, so instead of continuing this argument with Spencer, I got up and sat on the other side of the jet.
-
Maybe I was being bitter. Scratch that, I was definitely being bitter.
A week after Spencer insulted my favorite books I was still giving him the cold shoulder. I was just so sick of people judging young adult books, which were just as good as other books.
On the way back from our next case, I was sitting on the jet, when I looked across the aisle and noticed Spencer reading his own book. But there was something off about it.
He wasn’t turning the pages of the big book he was reading, instead there was a smaller book inside the other book that he was actually reading.
“Spencer?” I asked. “Whatcha reading?”
“Quantum Physics and the-“ he started.
“No, no. The book inside of that one.” I said.
Spencer paused for a moment. Then he sighed, and pulled out a copy of Six of Crows.
“Oh my god!” I said. “How much have you read? Do you like it? Whose you’re favorite crow?” I asked all at once.
“I only started it a few hours ago so I’m like halfway through...and I love it.” Spencer said.
“Ha! It’s so good isn’t it?” I asked.
“Yeah. But why did Kaz have to rip Oomen’s eye out that was gross.”
“You solve murders for a living and you think that him ripping an eye out was gross?”
Spencer sighed and then turned back to the book. “I do really like it.”
I gasped.
“What?!” Spencer asked.
“This means you get to read all the Grishaverse books! And then you can watch the show!”
Spencer smiled and then look at me. “Maybe you could watch it with me.” He said.
I smiled. “Yeah.” I said. “I’d like that.”

Look at me, saying I’m going to write and then not.
I love being productive
A/N: Thank you so much for the request! I hope you like it!

“I don’t see why you’re so opposed to this.” You said, pouring a cup of coffee for your boyfriend.
“Because it’s meeting your parents! It’s a big deal!” Spencer said, throwing his hands up in the air.
“It’s really not. They’ll be fine with you.” You said, holding the cup of coffee out for Spencer.
“Parents are a big part of our lives, Y/N, everything they do from a young age impacts us as we grow and even as adults their opinion still holds big sway, so whatever they think will be important!” Spencer said, obviously starting to freak out.
You really wanted Spencer to meet your parents, though, and no matter what he said, they were going to meet him. In order to put a stop to his rambling, you quickly picked up your phone.
“What are you doing, Y/N?” Spencer asked, noticing what you were doing.
The phone rang for a few beats, and you silently wished that your mom would answer. “Y/N, sweetheart! What can I do for you?” Your mom said, voice coming through the phone.
Spencer, seemingly figuring out who was on the other end, starting frantically shaking his head.
“Hey, Mom.” You said, turning away from Spencer. “I was wondering if sometime this weekend I could come over and introduce you and Dad to my boyfriend, Spencer.”
You heard a thump as Spencer let his head hit the counter.
“Well sure, honey. We’ve been looking forward to meeting him for a while.” Your mom said.
The conversation continued for a few minutes before you ended the call. You turned around to see Spencer with his head still on the counter.
“We have somewhere to be on Saturday night.” You said.
——
By some stroke of luck-or misfortune, if you were Spencer- he didn’t get called away on a case and were able to go to dinner on Saturday.
You walked up the driveway to your parent’s house, dragging Spencer along behind you. “C’mon, Spence! It’ll be fine!” You said.
“I don’t like this.” He said, planting his feet.
“Ok,” you said, turning around to face him. “I swear it’s not going to be bad, but if it is, we can go right away.”
“Ok.” Spencer said, finally cooperating and coming up the driveway.
Your parents opened the door and greeted you and Spencer both with a hug, before he could protests about his germs.
“It’s so nice to finally meet you, Spencer!” Your mon said, reaching up and putting her hands on Spencer’s face.
Surprisingly, Spencer went along with your parents and didn’t freak out asking for hand sanitizer.
A few moments later when everyone was sat down for dinner, your dad turned to Spencer. “So what do you do?” He asked.
“I work for the FBI.” Spencer said.
“Very impressive.” Your mom said. “What do you do for the FBI?”
“I’m a profiler, which means my team and I look at a crime scene and try to figure out details about the offender to help local police find them.” Spencer said.
“And what did you go to school for to study that?” Your dad asked. You weren’t the biggest fan of this interrogation that was going on, but there was little you go do to stop it.
“I actually have 3 PhD’s and 3 Ba’s but that’s usually not required.” Spencer said.
There was a beat of silence as your parents took this in.
“Are you some kind of super genius or something?” Your dad asked, kind of joking.
“Dad!” You said, starting to get a little defensive.
“What? I can’t ask the boy a question?” Your dad asked.
“It’s ok.” Spencer said. “I don’t believe that genius can be classified but I do have an IQ of 187 and can read 20,000 words per minute... so yes I am ‘some kind of super genius.’ “
Both of your parents were shocked for a moment, before continuing on with the conversation.
——
After dinner, you and Spencer were getting ready to make the drive back to your house when your mom pulled you aside.
“I want you to know that we think Spencer is a really good fit for you and we’re sorry if we offended him at all.” Your mom said.
“It’s ok. Spencer doesn’t scare easy.” You said.
The two do you left the house and made your way to the car.
“Do you think it went well?” Spencer asked.
“Yeah.” You responded. “Before we left my mom told me that she thinks you’re a good match for me.”
Spencer smiled. “Do you think you’re a good match for me?” He asked.
“I think you’re the perfect boyfriend.” You said.
Spencer smiled even wider. “I also think you’re the perfect boyfriend.”

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO THE MAN THAT SPURRED ME INTO CREATING MY LIST OF "people i simp for" (there's a lot in there😃🤭)
I’m working on finishing a request I got like 3 weeks ago, and it should be out today or tomorrow. Today I finally got the urge to write again, so I hope I’ll be able to write more soon.
