Tim funny little tibit from my blind au where he finally explains everything to his teammates. Been thinking about this, but I'm moving, and getting ready to start college, so I've had no time to post on here :(
(EDIT: Ok, so I started this is June of LAST YEAR and forgot to post it... So take that as you will)
Tim stands, stretching. He yawns widely, using his cane to navigate to the kitchen. The movie just ended, and Tim swears that this is the only time they've all stayed awake till the end of the movie.
"Does anyone want anything from the kitchen?" he calls, listening for their answers.
The odd quiet whispering that's gone on through the whole movie stops, and Bart answers, "Can you grab my dinosaur cup?"
"Second cabinet on the right."
Tim opens the cabinet, and begins feeling along for a cup. He knows that Bart's dinosaur cup is small since he has to refill it often, and it has a straw from the noise that it makes when he drinks out of it, so it's not hard for him to pick out the right one. Then he grabs himself a Monster from the fridge (I will die on this hill, he loves Monsters more than my dad does and he drinks them all day; forget the coffee addict hc), and walks back into the other room. He tosses the dinosaur cup in the direction of Bart's giggling. The whole room goes quiet.
"I didn't put anything in it cause you didn't mention anything, but there you go."
"Ok, this is my dinosaur cup," Bart announces like that proves something.
"I'm just going to ask cause this is immature," Cassie says, though she's been whispering the whole movie too.
"Why do you have that?" she blurts out, her hand slapping against her face a mere second later.
Tim raises an eyebrow. "What would that be referencing? Can you guys stop being weird?"
"She means the cane," Kon says casually, the grin audible in his voice.
"Cause I'm tired and struggling, so I brought it with me?"
"Why do you need it though? I thought you were completely healthy," Cassie asks, voice going soft and concerned.
"I am, I'm just blind. You all know this. Why are we suddenly doing the 'oh he's disabled' voice?"
"You're what?" Cassie squeaks. Bart drops the cup, and Tim sighs.
"Yeah, Rob, I don't think they knew," Kon says, snickering.
"Oh shut up. You only knew cause I took you to my house one time. Why did I think that you guys were being mature, and not oblivious?" he asks, dropping onto the couch next to Kon.
Kon shrugs, already pressed against Tim's shoulder.
"I'm so sorry, I don't know how I didn't realize that," Cassie says, slight panic in her voice.
"Don't do that, I don't care that much. As long as you're not about to change the way you treat me," Tim says, smiling as he rests against Kon's shoulder.
And Bart starts laughing. "Dude."
"Yeah, I know. Next time you wonder about that kind of thing though, don't try to test them by asking for a dinosaur cup," Tim responds with a small laugh.
