Utopic Future (of the blog)

Clickbaity title aside, preface by saying: Nope, FYYCA isn’t going anywhere or on hiatus, etc. Moreso, just more of a making aware that between a) now having a child and b) work being rather hectic (being a hospitalist physician in the era of COVID), life has been hectic overall. I generally will, during my week-long stretches of work, try to queue the following 7 posts but sometimes that gets postponed due to one obligation or another.

If there’s a day or two where there isn’t a post, that’s generally why. I’ll be working on the queue for the following week tomorrow evening before the eight-day stretch of work ahead, so should be delay-free. 

Also, as we approach the ten-year anniversary of FYYCA this fall (holy hell, does time fly…), one idea I’ve considered to help fill in some gaps here and there as well as mix things up is to reblog old posts (either from the same day or same month X number of years ago), especially for some of the better/more interesting (at least in my opinion) card arts that might not have gotten as much attention in the earlier years of the blog. In addition, (I’ve also considered doing compliation posts at some point, something that I can vaguely recall being requested years ago but generally preferred the single post format.

So I posted these two images that I made in a post together just shy of a year ago, and the post got 10,000+ notes. Today I saw a meme with a text convo of someone sending one of them to a military recruiter (which is extremely funny) and I thought “oh I should find that post again”

but when I went to find it, it had completely vanished. not just the original post, but even reblogs of it. I couldn’t even find screenshots anyone had taken of the original post. it wasn’t brought to my attention as a reported post, tumblr never even contacted me about deleting it, it just… disappeared
