The anti-creationist anons confuse me because like. Everyone I've met personally who's creationist is also super into science? Correlation =/= causation and all that, but the people I knew who believed it were scientists. Heck, I'm somewhere on the creationist scale (I think the world could've been created 5782 years ago and made to seem older, or billions of years ago, and it doesn't matter much because the effects turn out the same), and I almost majored in astrophysics before I went into a different field of science. That doesn't apply to everyone who believes in creationism, but the issue isn't the creationist bit, it's using it to be hateful.
(Also like. There's a history of scientists ignoring indigenous creation-related stories and then discovering truth in them, so saying all people who believe in creationism are stupid has Bad Vibes to me)
Yep. Like.... I personally interpret the Six Days of Creation as Six Phases of Creation, which actually seem to line up with the general consensus of the creation of Earth:

the earth being unformed and void, with darkness over the surface of the deep and a wind from God sweeping over the water—

God said, “Let there be light”; and there was light.

The universe was a consuming darkness, and then suddenly there was light. This lines up with the idea of the Big Bang.

The Earth was a mix of water and sky until suddenly there was a separation between sky and water. This lines up with the idea of the formation of the atmosphere coming from the evaporation of the waters.

The Earth was all water until suddenly there was land and plants. This lines up with the concept of land organisms (including plants) originally coming from water.

There suddenly was a sun, a moon, and stars. For a long time in Earth history, the sun, moon, and stars weren't entirely visible from Earth.
וַיֹּ֣אמֶר אֱלֹהִ֔ים יִשְׁרְצ֣וּ הַמַּ֔יִם שֶׁ֖רֶץ נֶ֣פֶשׁ חַיָּ֑ה וְעוֹף֙ יְעוֹפֵ֣ף עַל־הָאָ֔רֶץ עַל־פְּנֵ֖י רְקִ֥יעַ הַשָּׁמָֽיִם׃
God said, “Let the waters bring forth swarms of living creatures, and birds that fly above the earth across the expanse of the sky.”

All the teeming and swarming creatures were created (fish, birds, arthropods, reptiles, amphibians, etc). Arthropods, fish, reptiles, and amphibians predate the evolution of mammals. The "Great Sea Monsters" are even commonly accepted in Judaism as the dinosaurs.

And God created humankind in the divine image,
creating it in the image of God—
creating them male and female.
Mammals, and then later humans, are created. This correlates with the theory of Evolution.
For me, learning science helps me better learn about Judaism. Science is a holy study for me (and centuries of Jewish philosophers and scientists would agree with me). And really, at the end of the day, we'll never know for sure what the Ultimate Truth is, and that's okay, because what matters is what we do with our beliefs and world views.
