Figured out we're plural recently. I still dont know much about my headmates but I'm excited to learn more about them and just us in general. Sideblog about that is @untamed-collective if you wish to read about our experiences.
You can call us Wonder, Vulo, or just whatever you what idc, just use it/they for us. I'll use we/us and I/me interchangeably as we're still getting used to shit.
You can dm or tag me or interact in general if you want, it just might take me a little bit to respond because of anxiety and life
I'm aroace (or at least somewhere on that spectrum) and agender
I'm legally an adult (19) but I sure as hell dont feel like it
Current interests are: Cult of the Lamb, Wings of Fire, drawing, paper mache, Terraria
Most consistent interests are: Skyrim, Minecraft, art, drawing, horses, wolves. I like learning about things in general so if you ever just wanna yap to me about smth you can absolutely do that.
I basically just reblog stuff that interests me over here, I might start to make my own posts if I have the energy for it. I try my best to add tags appropriate to the posts but sometimes I just dont have it in me.
I have a sideblog @canidofwonder thats mainly centered around me figuring out my identity getting comfortable with the idea that I'm probably a therian
I think thats about it but I'll update if I need to. (updated 3-18-26)
saw a genuinely mega dumbass take so here's a reminder
if you are a traumagenic system/CDD system that supports endos, I love you, you are so appreciated and needed in this community just as much as endos, please NEVER let anti endos tell you that you arent a valid system or that you're harming system communities by loving your plural and system siblings. You are so important and loved here and you are so needed just as much as every other person. Y'all are so strong for dealing with the bullshit thrown at you so often and i feel nobody recognizes it as much as it should be recognized

I expected my cpap machine to make a dramatic difference right away but after waking up from my first night on the machine I think the experience can be described as I woke up and thought âwell I donât think I feel dramatically different but it also definitely feels like something in there has been uncloggedâ
According to my app which no is not called cpapp unfortunately I only stopped breathing 1.7 times per hour. Which might sound weird but during my sleep apnea test I stopped breathing 23.5 times per hour so as you can imagine breathing is generally better than not breathing
Iâm not talking about my health just to overshare btw. I think thereâs probably other young people out there with sleep apnea who might need to hear someone in their 20s discussing this.
Donât feel ashamed to get tested if youâre tired all the time or someone has told you that you gasp for air in your sleep. Get your shower drain unclogged.
I'm 35 and I got tested for sleep apnea in the fall and I was having OVER 50 EVENTS PER HOUR.
Got my cpap and holy shit the difference. I am actually rested when I go to bed at a reasonable time. I no longer need daily 2-4 hour naps just to function.
And I also suspect that it might be helping me not get as many colds, because that nightly airflow clears things out.
I'm really glad I have my cpap now and everything is better, but also wish I had got tested earlier, because maybe if I'd caught this sooner I wouldn't have developed some of the other health issues I deal with. But I thought I was so tired all the time because I'm a parent and autistic.
So yeah, even if you think you know why you're always tired, get tested just in case.
There's not nearly enough talk about hearttypes, so we wanted to to get conversations rolling by making a collaborative zine about it!
Otherhearted describes a person who has a strong fundamental connection to a species or character which impacts their core sense of self. This is most commonly described in terms of identifying with a being as opposed to identifying as one, although this is not always the case. - Otherkin Wiki
This zine will be a collection of artwork, writing and more all about being otherhearted. Whatever that means to you - both fiction and nonfiction pieces would be accepted. If you got something you wanna express about hearttypes, we'd love to hear it!
Full submission guidelines below the cut.
What Can I Submit?
Both fiction and nonfiction pieces are accepted. As long as what you have in mind fits the theme, itâll probably be a-ok.Â
Off the top of our head, weâre thinking of:
Essays of your personal experiences
Short storiesÂ
PoetryÂ
Mock advice columns
Alternative covers
Fictional advertisements
ComicsÂ
Recipes
We welcome you to think outside the box and share whatever inspires you about being otherhearted!

Submission Guidelines
Each individual may submit up to 3 works to be featured in From Within Our Hearts. Comics and multi-image works count as one piece. Individuals within a system may each submit up to 3 works. All work must be your own! Anyone caught plagiarizing or submitting AI-generated work will be barred from entering any future zines from us.
Written submissions and multi-part art entries should not exceed 10 pages. Please keep in mind the zineâs pages will be 8.5 x 11 and entries will be scaled accordingly to fit that size. We request all art submissions to be sent in either .jpg or .png file formats.Â
For stories that use multiple different fonts, we will do our best to preserve the general "feel" of your piece but cannot guarantee we will be able to use the exact fonts or sizes due to restrictions in what fonts we have access to, readability and overarching zine style.
Submissions Must Fit the Thematic Criteria of:
Being otherhearted / hearttype appreciation
Thatâs it! Go wild.
No portfolio or prior zine experience is needed to be included.
FAQ
Q: Where will the zine be hosted? What will it cost?
A: The zine will be hosted digitally on our itch.io and will be free to download.Â
Q: Is there a cap on total submissions to be included?
A: There is none, as long as the file doesnât start getting too big for our computer weâll do our best! If there are an unprecedented amount of submissions, we may have to delay the release. In the event that happens, we would communicate that through updates on our tumblr.
Q: Can I update my submission after itâs been submitted?
A: Yes you may, as long as itâs done before the submission deadline.
Q: Can I rescind my submission?
A: Yes you may, as long as itâs done before the submission deadline. This is because once we begin work on the zine, having to remove content mid-way through would throw off the formatting of everything else after. Please take this into account before submitting.Â
Q: Will this zine allow +18 entries?
A: No, nothing 18+ will be accepted.
Q: Can I submit already completed/published works?
A: Absolutely! Itâs ok to submit past work that has been posted to your social media or website. Our only stipulation is that it cannot have been previously featured in another zine. This helps us keep each of our zines unique and distinct from others.
Q: What is your timeline for the project?
A: Our submission deadline is November 15, 2026. Our goal is to have the zine live by the end of the year. If something unforeseen happens and we are unable to make that deadline, we will post an update about it on our tumblr.
Q: I have another question!
A: Feel free to reach out to us at our email nova-dergs(@)proton.me with any other questions you have about the zine.
do it while the ground falls out from under you; do it while everything you loved goes up in smoke; do it while the dream of your future is still burning embers around you; build anew on the hot ashes of everything you worked for; keep going, keep loving, keep living, even as all you want is to turn back (there is no turning back; it is gone already); do it through grief, which feels like fear in the body
The tag I have seen most often on this post is "I needed to hear this," and I am so, so grateful to have said something that was needed. These words came out of the depths of my own grief, and I am so grateful to have made this small connection with others in the midst of it. Grief is isolating and indescribable, but none of us are alone.
That said, these tags were what I needed to hear:
we're all gonna make it
it's okay if you can't see how yet. you don't have to believe in better. for now it is enough to just keep going, and eventually the path will emerge. you are not alone. you are not lost in the woods forever. keep going. I love you.
Crazy how the thing before this while scrolling was literally Jane the killer covered in blood half nude in sexual attire and holding a chainsaw in front of her groin. The duality of tumblr I guess lmao
I made my post into something a little more visually appealing! Behold my wonders; I eyeballed about 98% of this. The two things I got information from the official reference for was the shoelace detail and the back sheathe (provided to me by a friend after asking). Everything else took me almost a week and ~6 hours of hunting. I also personally took all the movie screencaps you see on the board.
You can find the PDF-shareable version of this file in the master reference. Enjoy!
i feel like we've completely killed the ability to just gently tell someone when they're wrong or that their opinions don't pass the vibe check. we have to accommodate every single type of person and all their dogshit opinions OR we have to drive them off the internet, no in between
Hi everyone!
This is an illustrated guide I made as part of my co-admining work at The Middle Eastern Feminist on Facebook! It will be published there shortly.Â
The technique that is displayed here is a genuine one used in psychology - I forgot the name and couldnât find it again so if you know about it, feel free to tell me!
Some could say: âYes but you can use that technique for instances of harassment other than Islamophobic attacks!â, and my reply is: Sure! Please do so, it also works for other âtypesâ of harassment of a lone person in a public space!!
However Iâm focusing on protecting Muslims here, as they have been very specific targets lately, and as a French Middle Eastern woman, I wanted to try and do something to raise awareness on how to help when such things happen before our eyes - that way one cannot say they âdidnât know what to doâ!Â
Iâd like to insist on two things:
1) Do not, in any way, interact with the attacker. You must absolutely ignore them and focus entirely on the person being attacked!
2) Please make sure to always respect the wishes of the person youâre helping: whether they want you to leave quickly afterwards, or not! If youâre in a hurry escort them to a place where someone else can take over - call one of their friends, or one of yours, of if they want to, the police. It all depends on how they feel!
For my fellow French-speakers: I will translate it in French and post it on my page as soon as I can :)
Please donât hesitate to share this guide as it could push a lot of people to overcome bystander syndrome!!
Lots of love and stay safe!
PS: I you repost this cartoon of mine on twitter or instagram, please add me in the post so I can see it, with @itsmaeril :)
Image description: a digitally drawn comic style illustration titled âWhat to do if you are witnessing Islamophobic harrassmentâ, subtitled âa bystanderâs guide to help the person whoâs being targetedâ
The drawing shows a person holding on a bus pole looking worriedly to their left where someone is angrily and aggressively shouting at a muslim person wearing a hijab.
Four panels follow. First says â1. Engage in conversation, sit beside them and say hello. Try to appear calm, collected and welcoming. Ignore the attacker (capitalized)â. It shows the previous character, the bystander, smiling and saying âhi, how are you?â To the muslim person.
Second says â2. Pick a random subject and start discussing it. It can be anything: a movie you liked, the weather, saying you like something they wear and asking where they got itâŠâ. The image shows the bystender sitting next to the woman idly chatting, saying âthe weather lately is so⊠My sister told me about this movieâŠâ The muslim person is smiling while in the foreground, the attacker is fuming, a writing on them says âignoredâ
Third says â3. Keep building the safe space. Keep eye contact with them and dont acknowledge the attackerâs presence: the absence from response from you two will push them to leave the area shortly.â The panel shows the bystender and muslim characters talking while the attacker walks away angrily. A text on then says âirrelevantâ
Fourth says â4. Continue the conversation until the attacker leaves and escort them to a safe place if necessary. Bring them to a neutral area where they can recollect themselves; respect their wishes if they tell you theyâre ok and just want to go.â The panel shows the bystender and muslim characters smiling at each other, with the bystenderâs arms around the muslim personâs shoulders.
