nothing could ever convince me that chuuya doesn't call dazai princess, what with the whole snow white thing and dazai being like "well I'm the princess and you're my prince charming duh" and the constant pet names nicknames for each other and the way dazai seems generally delighted to make chuuya come to "rescue" him. I think my favourite thing about Hualian is that Hua Cheng genuinely would give Xie Lian the world on a silver platter.

He would without hesitation set fire to heavens and conquer kingdoms for Xie Lian and he has the power and skills to do all those things but Xie Lian would literally never ever ask that off him because he doesn’t want that.

He just wants Hua Cheng.

He genuinely just wants to spend the rest of his incredibly long life talking to him and doing chores with him.

Hua Cheng spent 800 years making himself into someone who could offer Xie Lian anything and all Xie Lian ever wanted was someone who would love him after everything he’s been through.

He doesn’t want/need a solider or an attendant or a devotee he just needs a companion.

Like Hua Cheng has been everything he’s ever wanted even as a ghost fire.
