I know you've said a number of times that the issue with a return to Kamigawa is that so much would have to change to make a viable set that it would really be a return in name only. Which do you think is the better idea: a return to Kamigawa with you being given the freedom to change as much as you need to change to make a viable set, or an entirely new Japanese-themed plane, built from the ground up incorporating everything you've learned in the past years?
Okay, Question Marks. Which would you prefer and why:
a) a return to Kamigawa where R&D is given the freedom to change as much as we need to make a viable set
or
b) an entirely new Japanese-themed plane, built from the ground up incorporating everything R&D has learned in the past years
The original Kamigawa took place, what hundreds of years in the past? That is a narrative reason A) is the perfect option.

ASTRIFEROUS
[adjective]
bearing stars; made of stars.
Etymology: from Latin astrifer; astrum, âstarâ + ferre, "to bearâ.

Amonkhet Invocations (Masterpieces)
Share with me your thoughts on the new Masterpieces in Amonkhet.
The frames are too busy and distract from the art, something I think masterpieces should highlight like BFZ did with full art lands. It's really the pillars directly next to the art. Hieroglyphs cluttering the name and type line don't help either, especially since the words are centered to the card, not the text box leaving them slightly to the right in the text box. All this combination to make it real hard to focus on any single element of the card. My eyes end up drifting to something else. I do like the centered rules text. And I really enjoy the quality of cards reprinted.
Honestly, as far as commaders go red black is equally as bad as boros. i feel like blue green or blue green x get by far the best commanders which is a problem because they are the best colors in the format by a pretty wide margin.
Okay, let me know what kind of commander youâd like to see for different two-color combinations.
RW instants matter. A commander that is worthy of equipping Sunforger.
Follow-up Question
I asked earlier today, how you all felt about our current product line. The top answer was âtoo many productsâ followed closely by âthe right numberâ . This question is for those that said we had too many products. Which product would you pick for us to eliminate and why?
From the Vault. Like others have said spacing Conspiracy and Masters out a bit more would help as well. It just so happened money was tight this summer due to some medical bills so I missed out on both. If one had been released after Aether Revolt that wouldn't be the case.
Forest Fire
because Nissa and Chandra are so gaaaaay <3
I was going with âwildfireâ, but âforest fireâ might be better.
gruulfriends
The biggest problem with a new ship. Â What does everyone else think?
Juvane
I like Gruulfriends.

Sarkhan-Volkswagenâs Superfriends Giveaway!
My life has been full of ups and downs recently. The downs have been coming from all around, but the ups have come from two places in particular; Magic and my friends. I want to celebrate both of those things, and what better way to do that than with the âSuperfriendsâ Archetype!Â
Prizes:
Ugin, the Spirit Dragon-Fate Reforged
Tezzeret the Seeker-Shards of Alara
Windswept Heath-Khans of Tarkir
Ajani Vengeant-Shards of Alara
FOIL Deploy the Gatewatch-Eldritch Moon
I chose these cards for pretty obvious reasons. Ugin has proven to be a life-saver and a game ender for my own Superfriends deck, Tezzeret acts a second copy of any number of supporting artifacts (cough cough, The Chain Veil), and Ajani Vengeant is one I donât currently play but Iâve seen other decks use him to great effect. This guy is house when used correctly! Deploy the Gatewatch has given me some of the most fun experiences Iâve ever had with the archetype, and I hope it finds its way to someone who can get a similar enjoyment from it. Finally, the Windswept Heath is included as a way to kickstart a potentially expensive mana base.
RULES
-Enter by Reblogging and Liking. Follows are not necessary, but you might want to do so because the success of this giveaway encourages more like it!
-Winner will be chosen randomly on AUGUST 15TH.
-Be prepared to give me your address via PM if you are randomly selected so I can mail you the cards!
-I can only mail to folks in the United States! My condolences to my international friends out there.
Do you feel limiting the production of certain cards is good for Magic? Like, if everyone had equal access to all the cards, would the game be better or worse for it?
Imagine a world, where Magic is a boxed game, where we just give you everything for a single cost. Thereâs now no limited formats. Youâve undercut the business model so now thereâs a lot less money to reinvest in the game. R&D shrinks.
Less people are designing and developing (and doing creative and editing and many other functions). Less products can be made and the overall quality of the product is lower. Thereâs probably less art or more reused art and it too is of a lower quality. The same is true for the creative. (And editing, etc.)
Is it a better game in this alternate world? It is my opinion that no, it is not.
Strawman argument Mark. There can be innovation, it doesn't have to match what currently exists. You can have booster packs alongside your playset packs. One doesn't make the other irrelevant.

Jessica Lloyd-Jones - Anatomical Neon, 2010
Blown glass human organs encapsulate inert gases displaying different colours under the influence of an electric current. The human anatomy is a complex, biological system in which energy plays a vital role. Brain Wave conveys neurological processing activity as a kinetic and sensory, physical phenomena through its display of moving electric plasma. Optic Nerve shows a similar effect, more akin to the blood vessels of the eye and with a front âlensâ magnifiying the movement and the intensity of light. Heart is a representation of the human heart illuminated by still red neon gas. Electric Lungs is a more technically intricate structure with xenon gas spreading through its passage ways, communicating our human unawareness of the trace gases we inhale in our breathable atmosphere.
