We can all breath a sigh of relief: Square Enix has listened to fans and toned down the once-skimpy outfit worn by Mobious Final Fantasy’s male hero.
When the game was first revealed, Final Fantasy fans were concerned that this was almost too much fan service. How could they focus on saving the world if they were constantly confronted by their avatar’s toned backside? Thankfully, Square Enix recognized how uncomfortable it would be for men to play as a character who was designed as a sexual object before an active, heroic subject, and announced today that they had modified his design. His new outfit is far more practical and better reflects the Final Fantasy tradition and aesthetic.
Thank you for being so understanding, Square Enix.
Fucking whiny ass male gamers can’t handle it when male characters are treated the same way female characters are. Fuck all of you guys. and fuck you square enix for giving in to the little whiny babies.
You always talk smack about white people. That's reverse racism. If I said the same stuff about you, I'd be called a racist.
See that guy up there looking at you like you’re the crown ruler of all fuck ups? See how super white he is? Well, that ruggedly handsome devil is me.
Yup…I’m white. If I was Adam in the Biblical tale of Adam and Ave, God wouldn’t have made me out of dust/dirt. He would have made me out of Cool Whip and vanilla beans. That’s just how white I am.So, that puts an end to the whole “reverse racism” thing, doesn’t it? I’m a white man making fun of white people. You just got M. Night Shyamalan’d up in this bitch.
Also, racism doesn’t work that way. If a person of colour tells us we look like mayonnaise or that we’re weird as fuck because we don’t use wash cloths, that’s not racism. There’s no built in oppression there. That’s just commentary. Being mocked isn’t being held down. It isn’t being systematically deemed “lesser” by an entire group of people over years and years and years. It’s not based on anything. For racism to work (for want of a better term) there has to be that oppression. That’s why white people are so good at being racist. Also, white people being called out as racists isn’t racist. A person of colour saying “White people ruined hip hop” or “White people always steal pieces of our culture” isn’t racist. It’s the other way around. Iggy Azalea is racist. White people trying to pass durags off as high fashion is racist.
That’s why people hate us. Because we’re the most racist people on Earth and yet we don’t even understand how racism works.

The Best Birth Control In The World Is For Men by Jon Clinkenbeard
If I were going to describe the perfect contraceptive, it would go something like this: no babies, no latex, no daily pill to remember, no hormones to interfere with mood or sex drive, no negative health effects whatsoever, and 100 percent effectiveness. The funny thing is, something like that currently exists.
The procedure called RISUG in India (reversible inhibition of sperm under guidance) takes about 15 minutes with a doctor, is effective after about three days, and lasts for 10 or more years…
Oh, and when you do decide you want those babies, it only takes one other injection of water and baking soda to flush out the gel, and within two to three months, you’ve got all your healthy sperm again.
The trouble is, most people don’t even know this exists. And if men only need one super-cheap shot every 10 years or more, that’s not something that gets big pharmaceutical companies all fired up, because they’ll make zero money on it (even if it might have the side benefit of, you know, destroying HIV).

can this replace the normal contraception methods we have pls
This has existed for YEARS. They ran an article about it in WIRED magizine but I don’t think anyone read it .-.
Maybe more reblogs then? Up to a million at least. We have this technology to get the word out and change the world.
171) The hardest part about being vegan isn't the lack of restaurant options, or the expensive fruit, or anything like that. It's feeling so alone as you realize that no one around you understands why veganism is so important to you and the world. Everyone laughs at me for how much I want to save animals, and it makes me cry all the time. Especially when I think about all of those suffering and being slaughtered for NO REASON. It breaks my heart, and I just wish I knew someone who understood.
ANY ONE WHO LIVES IN THE AUSTIN, TX AREA
If you go to any animal shelter in Bastrop and give a food donation, you get a free animal. For every food donation you give, you can get another animal. They are incredibly full right now, and starting next week, they will be starting mass euthanizations.
PLEASE signal boost, try to save an animal’s life! This will go on for a week, until next Friday!!!!

Similarities between Blake Brockington and Leelah Alcorn
1. They wore both Transgender.
2, They were both rejected by their families. (Blake was in fostercare because his family kicked him out)
3. There ages. (Blake had just turned 18, and Leelah was 17 turning 18)
4. They both commited suicide.
So explain to me why this well known Transgender activist, Blake Brockington, who raised thousands for charity and became the first black transgender homecoming king is getting almost no media attention. Leelah Alcorn trended across Twitter and Tumblr—even got her own Wikipedia page and article in People magazine.
This is by no means a comparison or a contest for opression. But Blake Brockington deserves the same memorial Leelah Alcorn was given— if not more. Three thousand to three hundred and sixty four( and that is including articles about him winning @ HOCO) .The only clear difference between them is his race. Preserve this young man’s life.
REST IN POWER KING, BLAKE BROCKINGTON.
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: the whole “GMOs are bad for you” propaganda is distracting from the real problem with GMOs, which is the economically exploitative business model of Monsanto and other companies which specialize in that field. We’ve been genetically modifying food since before we even began to understand genetics. The entire cultivar of bananas we eat is genetically modified. Every cultivar of apples we eat is genetically modified. Selective breeding and other genetic modification processes to make food larger and tastier are a significant part of agriculture and have been for centuries. All the “but it’s not natural so it’s bad!” people have literally zero understanding of how the food we eat comes to be. Using more modern techniques to do the same things we’ve been doing for centuries is not scary. It’s progress. And modern genetic modification techniques allow us to develop cultivars that are larger, hardier, more resistant to disease and pests, and grow in larger quantities, which (if it weren’t for the economic issues I’m about to discuss) could allow us to feed waaaaaaaaaaaaaay more people without using much more in the way of resources.
The problem with GMOs is, as far as I know, twofold. One, there are patented genes, which should not be legal. This means that if you’re caught growing those particular versions of those crops without licensing them, you’re open to lawsuits from the patent holders. This is even true in cases where seeds from crops on neighboring properties have blown over in the wind or carried over by animals. Two, there are patented crops which are seedless, like many cultivars of different crops modified with old world techniques, that have to be repurchased from the manufacturer every season. These are also subject to the same patent laws and thus if you find a way around the need to repurchase, you are legally liable for damages to the manufacturer.
These are obviously exploitative practices which, while they do very little harm to large farms with substantial income and subsidies, hurt poor farms, especially in poorer countries. And pressure from the major Western powers, particularly the US, has assisted corporations in exploiting those poorer countries. For example, after the earthquake in Haiti, Monsanto offered a year of free seeds to Haitian farmers who lost their crops. The next year, they were expected to either pay full price for a new set of seeds or destroy any future crops. This is an unacceptable model.
The bullshit “it’s not natural!” whining about GMOs is actually harmful to prospects of correcting the economic injustices caused by the current way of handling that side of agriculture. By centering the conversation around irrational health scares, we ignore the economic exploitation, and most people never learn that it’s happening. Watch: in a few years, when studies come out proving the harmlessness of GMO crops, the discussion will be more or less laid to rest. People in general in the West, with the power to pressure their governments into legislating away these exploitative practices, will feel like there’s nothing left to fight on the issue, and the discussion will end. We need to focus on the true harm of these corporations before it’s too late.

NASA: California Has One Year of Water Left
Plagued by prolonged drought, California now has only enough water to get it through the next year, according to NASA.
In an op-ed published Thursday by the Los Angeles Times, Jay Famiglietti, a senior water scientist at the NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory in California, painted a dire picture of the state’s water crisis. California, he writes, has lost around 12 million acre-feet of stored water every year since 2011. In the Sacramento and San Joaquin river basins, the combined water sources of snow, rivers, reservoirs, soil water and groundwater amounted to a volume that was 34 million acre-feet below normal levels in 2014. And there is no relief in sight.
"As our ‘wet’ season draws to a close, it is clear that the paltry rain and snowfall have done almost nothing to alleviate epic drought conditions. January was the driest in California since record-keeping began in 1895. Groundwater and snowpack levels are at all-time lows" Famiglietti writes. "We’re not just up a creek without a paddle in California, we’re losing the creek too."
On Wednesday, the U.S. Department of Agriculture announced that one-third of the monitoring stations in California’s Cascades and Sierra Nevada mountains have recorded the lowest snowpack ever measured.
"Right now the state has only about one year of water supply left in its reservoirs, and our strategic backup supply, groundwater, is rapidly disappearing,” Famiglietti writes.
He criticized Californian officials for their lack of long-term planning for how to cope with this drought, and future droughts, beyond “staying in emergency mode and praying for rain.”
Last month, new research by scientists at NASA, Cornell University and Columbia University pointed to a “remarkably drier future” for California and other Western states amid a rapidly-changing climate. “Megadroughts,” the study’s authors wrote, are likely to begin between 2050 and 2099, and could each last between 10 years and several decades.
With that future in mind, Famiglietti says, “immediate mandatory water rationing” should be implemented in the state, accompanied by the swift formation of regulatory agencies to rigorously monitor groundwater and ensure that it is being used in a sustainable way—as opposed to the “excessive and unsustainable” groundwater extraction for agriculture that, he says, is partly responsible for massive groundwater losses that are causing land in the highly irrigated Central Valley to sink by one foot or more every year.
Various local ordinances have curtailed excessive water use for activities like filling fountains and irrigating lawns. But planning for California’s “harrowing future” of more and longer droughts “will require major changes in policy and infrastructure that could take decades to identify and act upon,” Famiglietti writes. “Today, not tomorrow, is the time to begin.”
I AM GOING TO SCREAM
i’ll bet you five dollars that no one listens to the scientists until people start dying
Ex battery hens being allowed to keep their own eggs 😄 this replaces the nutrients lost during the laying process and keeps them healthy and happy. As you can see, it is a much appreciated gesture! 🐔😘
I’ve heard that it’s better to cook the eggs and give them hard-boiled ones to eat. Is this true? Because it seems like they’d have some some trouble eating the liquid white and yolk from off the ground.
Either is fine - it really depends! The chooks have enjoyed egg in both raw and cooked form. If you prefer to cook the egg, do so for around ten minutes, until the yolk inside is crumbly. Then mash it all up (including the shell) and sprinkle for them to enjoy.
The girls didn’t actually have any trouble lapping up the yolk from the ground, as you may be able to see here! After they were done, there was nothing left at all except a bit of dampness. Most of the nutrition actually lies in the shell rather than the insides, so to be honest the main benefit of cooking the egg is to reduce chances of salmonella or similar issues affecting your birds (although if they are cared for properly, and regularly cleaned out etc, this shouldn’t be a problem either).
Hope this helps! As an added note, it’s best to limit their consumption of eggs to around once a week, however the shell can be enjoyed most days - they love it baked, too! :)
shoutout to people who cannot relate to their mothers, who don’t think their mothers deserve any praise, who don’t want to heal their mothers wounds, because their mothers wounds caused their own. shoutout to you. I love you.
