Exquisite Wildflower Photography Through Surreal Filters by Maciek Jasik

Brooklyn-based photographer Maciek Jasik has transformed the Death Valley desert in California into a surreal beauty full of life and bloom. With the use of in-camera effects, Jasik creates an otherworldly photograph colored with stunning hues of bright pink, green and purple. They seem to resemble images from a neighboring planet, whose sky is always a beautiful cotton candy pink color.

Taylor's Skull, 50mm. Taylor was the dog I had as a kid. Our neighbor shot him one day and I found his body 6 months later. We brought him home and buried him in our family pet cemetery. About 15 years later the land was sold and a house was built over the cemetery. Taylor's bones were dug up in the excavation and now I have my beloved friend back forever. 🐃

The New Moon in Sagittarius

Let us celebrate with those around us and revel in higher minded activities today such as teaching and philosophizing. The Sagittarian is well-known their forth-rightness, so if we have feelings of risk taking or traveling out side our normal sphere of perception, now is the time to explore these feelings and let our ideas come to action.

Today we may be feeling the need to wander and be a free spirit. we may feel a bit impulsive or restless even, with an urge to escape responsibilities altogether. Idealstic optimism is the key of the day.

The moon is void of course today, meaning that period of time when the moon “wanders” after her last major aspect to another planet, until she enters her next sign.
