When you are alone and have a heart attack. What are you gonna do then?

Let's say it's 5:25 pm and you're driving home after an unusually hard day's work.
You are really tired and frustrated. All of a sudden your chest pains. They are starting to radiate in the arm and jaw. It feels like being stabbed in the chest and heart. You're only a few miles away from the nearest hospital or home.

Maybe you've taken CPR training, but the person running the course hasn't told you how to help yourself.
How do you survive a heart attack when you're alone when it happens? A person who is feeling weak and whose heart is beating hard has only about 10 seconds before losing consciousness.
1. But you can help yourself by coughing repeatedly and very strongly! Deep breaths before every cough. Coughing should be repeated every second until you arrive at the hospital or until your heart starts to beat normally.
2. Deep breathing gives oxygen to your lungs and coughing movements boost the heart and blood circulation. Heart pressure also helps to restore a normal heartbeat. Here's how cardiac arrest victims can make it to the hospital for the right treatment

Okay so I just watched a video of a boy who once identified as trans still got bottom surgery after he realized he was cis and people were so fucking rude? Like just because this cis dude has a vagina people were calling him transphobic and wishing death upon him.
So this is a reminder that when we as a community advocate for bodily autonomy and gender surgeries that means everyone regardless of gender can do whatever they want with their bodies.
If someone who is cisgender wants top/bottom surgery THEY CAN GET IT. If someone wants facial plastic surgeries that we usually find creepy like buccal fat removal or eye lifts THEY CAN GET IT. And hereās the really controversial one but if someone wants to do things that harm their body like hard drugs or diy mods THEY CAN DO IT!
Because body autonomy isnāt just āI can get bottom surgery to passā or āI can get an abortionā itās also all the wild stuff that makes us uncomfortable and thatās okay.
Support cis people getting bottom/top surgery. If itās available for everyone it helps everyone who needs it. Just because they donāt specifically identify with another gender doesnāt mean they canāt desire to have a body with different sex characteristics.

For those that donāt know, thereās a semi-famous story of a wildlife photographer who had her camera stolen by some monkeys she was taking pictures of. When she got her camera back, she discovered one of the monkeys had taken a selfie, and she published the image in a journal as aĀ ālook what happenedā kind of story. PETA, being the insufferable waste they are, took it upon themselves to sue the photographer, claiming that because the Monkey took the picture, the monkey owns the copyright and thus the photographer was not allowed to publish it. The courts ruled this whole thing stupid and that now art can only be considered protected by copywrite if it was made by a human. So, thisĀ āonly made by humansā ruling could easily apply to AI as well, meaning Hollywood is gonna screw themselves over if they try to replace their writers with bots.

For starters, there are way too many similarities between her and Sam for them to just be two random people who met by accident. They both lost someone recently and theyāre both running away and they both just happen to be staying at the same motel?
Yeah ok, so sheās staying at the motel because she apparently works at the nearby animal clinic, but as someone whoās had questionable housing situations, not many places consider a motor inn a valid living address when youāre looking for employment. Sure, she probably couldāve gotten a job at a grocery store or a gas station, but as a veterinarian? Not likely. A vet gets paid on average $85k per year and a normal orientation in a new workplace is 2 weeks to a month. You think any sane employer is just gonna sign up a lady who rolled into town and is staying at a motor inn, and might decide to just drive out of town tomorrow? I mean come on.
Also, the dog he hit couldnāt have been a gray hound or a husky or idk, a german shepherd? It had to look like Bones? Itās like Sam pulled that dog out of memory and then just gave him different coloring. And he hit this dog with a 1967 fucking steel box traveling how fast? But this miracle vet lady saved the dog and it was hopping around like 24 hours later with a little cast on its leg?
Never mind the whole thing with the picnic and Amelia sitting on a blanket which is a mirror image of Deanās fantasy of Lisa.
Like every single part of that story seems like something Sam couldāve dreamed, including Ameliaās disapproving army father who Sam has to spend hours sucking up to.Ā
And then, her husband just miraculously appears just as Dean has found a way to crawl back out of purgatory?
How about the fact that Sam was not actually connected to the world the entire time he was with her. Repeating my COVID surge PSA: there is a major surge underway in many places right now. In the US, estimates are that we're seeing higher covid levels than 90% of the pandemic, with 1 in 35 people currently infected, so eg a gathering of 20 people has a 45% chance of having an infectious person present (source, posted 12/18/23 so they're already a couple days old and expected to rise through early January). These will probably not come in time for Christmas, but Metrix tests are home NAAT tests that are considerably more accurate than rapids (but not quite as accurate as PCRs). They cost $25 each, require a reader, and take half an hour to run, so not as easy or affordable as rapids, but I like these for special occasions now that it's very difficult to get an affordable PCR test in the U.S.

Reminder that you need to have a fit test to determine the appropriate n95 for you (otherwise it is no more effective than a Level 3 medical mask). For majority of the population wearing a level 3 medical mask is appropriate. Wear a level 2 medical mask if a level 3 is not available. Wear two Level 2 masks if a level 3 is not available and you are coughing or caring for someone who is coughing.
If you are caring for someone who is coughing wear eye protection (large/oversized glasses, eye protection (same thing youād wear in construction, home improvement etc. or biking at high speeds).
Psa a respirator protects you but not your loved ones. Do not wear a respirator if you are ill or known to be contagious.

So I looked up reviews of this specific tuna and I have several things to report:
1) Apparently it really is just that fucking good.
2) There's an artisan version they sell made with tuna belly which is reportedly phenomenal and despite the $21 price tag I genuinely want to try it.
3) The youtubers who review canned fish are simultaneously the weirdest and most boring people who have ever lived and I'm completely obsessed with them.
