Ok obviously this is a valid take and I agree with it, BUT this is a horrible example image to use. I don’t dislike Steggy because they’re straight, I dislike them because the ending they got absolutely steamrolled both of their respective character arcs AND their relationships with people who were definitely more important in their lives. Regardless of whether you ship Steve with Bucky or not, I think it’s obvious that their bond had much more significance in their lives than anything they had with a potential romantic partner. And Peggy was married to a guy who had a very healthy dynamic with her. I can’t for the life of me understand why Steve would choose to go back in time, destroy a happy marriage, AND abandon his friends just weeks after they un-blipped. Just. Why.
