you don’t realise how much tumblr has changed your view on things until you spend time with friends who don’t have tumblr and they say something and you’re just like

I ❤️ this
I want to have a nap date, a naked nap date.
You know what’s really hot? Not having to guess someone’s feelings or intentions
You don't get it.
You don’t. It isn’t a game she’s playing. She isn’t manipulating, fishing for compliments, or trying to trap you. Despite what the world has taught you, she has a rare, direct honesty in the way she interacts and a pure heart that most can’t recognize, let alone believe. Her insecurity only surfaces when she is trying to let someone in, don’t you understand? She feels so deeply… it has cost her greatly in her lifetime. It is easier, safer, and much more rational to default to doubt… it hurts less than trust. She won’t allow herself to believe most anything unless it is explicitly said as well as shown… and often repeated. Years of emotional neglect does that to a person. It doesn’t make her broken, but it does make her different. Her doubt isn’t about you. When you pull away, it will almost always be interpreted as rejection. It’s ok if you don’t want the responsibility, believe me, the woman understands completely, and while she doesn’t blame you, she also knows she’s worth it. The little girl though? It simply makes her sad, because she peeks out of hiding so seldom, and shows glimpses of her soul to so few. Like most treasures worth owning, she is obscured from casual sight; she requires being earnestly sought. ~dd

Beautifully written @daisies-in-thedark. I always relate to your words. xo
I stumbled upon this again today…One of the most heartfelt, raw, insightful, writings I have ever had the pleasure of reading by my friend @daisies-in-thedark. It is always a pleasure to blog her words. I can so much relate, and feel many others will as well. xo
Sigh …
@daisies-in-thedark you so write me too.

Yes!! But I think I hold it in pretty well.
All of this.
On Jealousy
Jealousy. It’s a big old word, isn’t it? It’s something we will all experience at some point in our lives, either firsthand or from the people around us (or more likely both). It’s a contentious issue.
There seem to be two fairly common camps regarding societal perceptions of jealousy: the societally monogamous view and the reactive polyamorous view.
Monogamy: ‘jealousy is normal! It’s natural!’
Polyamory: ‘jealousy is neither natural nor healthy’
Of course, there are certainly monogamous folks who don’t feel this way, and polyamorous folks that don’t either. Maybe they even follow the opposite belief.
I would like to present an extra 'jealousy slogan’: jealousy is normal and natural and can be healthy when addressed correctly.
It’s not as catchy as the first two, but middle ground rarely is.
I do not believe jealousy in itself to be a destructive force. Like all emotions (or systems of emotion) it is a feeling. It can be intense or lowkey, devastating or irritating, but it is always an emotional response to a stimulus.
That is not an issue. The issue lies in how we respond to our own jealousy, and that of our loved ones. If I get jealous when M goes on a date and then call him every five minutes crying, trying to manipulate him into coming home, that is destructive. If I climb the walls hating myself that’s destructive. If I look at why I feel jealous, and the fears and needs behind it, and can come back either to M with a clearly stated need, or to myself with a greater understanding of my own psyche, then that’s a good experience despite the discomfort.
Equally, if M shouts and berates me for feeling jealous when I express it, that’s destructive. If he listens and takes on board what I have said, and works with me to find a solution, that’s a good moment of bonding and strengthening in our relationship.
Jealousy is a warning system which can sometimes flag up an important issue in the relationship or get triggered due to issues in your own mind and heart. Either way, it’s showing a problem that might be possible to work out, strengthening yourself and your relationships in the process.
I very much dislike the gatekeeping rhetoric of 'if you feel jealousy you’re not really polyamorous’. It’s useless and designed purely to bolster a fragile ego. Because many polyamorous people do experience jealousy, and unlike both the poly gatekeepers and extreme monogamists, they recognise that jealousy is just another emotion, not a lifelong state of being or unavoidable personality trait.
For some people their jealousy response is very deeply rooted, either due to upbringing or trauma, and everyone will work on it at a different pace. Be kind and patient where you can, we’re all stumbling in the dark, here.
Telling someone they shouldn’t feel jealousy is futile. Try telling them not to feel happy when they pet their favourite animal, it’s about as useful. Showing people resources on how to recognise their jealousy for what it is (an alarm system) and what to do with it, now that is worth its weight in gold.
A very good piece
Enjoying a nice night outside. Naked. 😈😈 country living is not bad.

Today I am…🕉
At 40 I can honestly say I am. Its a nice feeling.
What my mind needs
His cock in my mouth, then to be spanked, then to be fucked. Is that too much to ask??
I need, I crave his warm cock in my mouth. My lips wrapped tight and my tongue lay flat on the back side of his cock where the most delicate area is. I can feel him starting to pulsate so I match my rhythm so that he doesn’t release too soon. I go slow at first then speed up getting him closer to the edge yet not too fast to push him over. Then slow again to keep the warm cum at bay. If I feel like I have gone too far and he might burst I stop, take my mouth from his cock and lap up all the juices that have made there way down to his balls. I go back and forth from cock to scrotum and fast to slow until he cannot take it anymore. That is when I am rewarded. He turns me over, flat on my belly. Warms up one side of my ass with his hand. Pulls his arm back and unleashes pain that I have been craving. I feel submissive, I am his. His red palm print on me is proof. When he feels I have had enough he gets behind me. I lay there on the bed, naked, submitting to him and awaiting to be filled with his warm cum. He slowly inserts himself. Starts slow and then builds up to pounding my tight pussy as hard as he can. I can feel the warmth of his cum filling me up and I know he is satisfied and my hole has served him well. He colaps to the bed, kisses me on the forehead. Let’s me know I have been a good girl. This is what I need. This is what I crave.
Trust in a dom/sub relationship
To be in any relationship you need trust but it’s extremely important in a D/S relationship. To have trust, to keep trust, and to build trust you have to feel safe. Both sides need this, not just the sub. If the dominant does not feel safe he cannot trust and the relationship can fall apart.
Feeling safe and trust can change over time and should always be communicated. If a dom takes things too far without knowing he did and nothing is said then he may not know what the limits are. This is the same for the sub, if she is afraid to use her voice because things were handled wrong, she may not feel safe.
So to feel safe and build trust this is the responsibility of both parties. The dom is not responsible for everything on his own. A good dom/sub relationship takes both parties communicating correctly.

D/s Hierarchy
We’ve all seen some version of this. But here’s how I write it, with the most important at the top:
submissive needs Dominant needs Dominant wants Dominant whims submissive wants
Submissives First In my mind, this is the only way it works. The submissive’s needs have to be managed first. Without those met, the submissive cannot let go and submit. When submissives have to devote energy to managing their needs and their Dominants’ needs and wants, it’s too much. Submissives have a tendency to put their Dominants first (and often, everyone else). So in the end, they suffer. They cannot do it all. And when they try, they wilt. Dominants must understand and work to fulfill their submissives’ needs. Or the whole hierarchy falls apart.
But submissives have responsibilities here, too. First, they need to know what they need. Not want, but need. Second, they need to communicate about their needs—to help their Dominants check the gauges and rebalance when necessary. If you don’t truly know what you need, you can’t expect your partner to know.
…But Dominants First, Too The other thing is that I don’t think submissives should see their needs as coming first. In an ideal relationship, submissives put faith in their Dominants to care for their needs, and they focus on their Dominants’ needs. If you can’t let go of putting your needs first, then you aren’t really giving up power. Communicate. Share your needs, and have meta discussions about them. Then let go. Trust. Lean in with your submission by putting your Dominant’s needs first. Focus on what they need. Let that guide you at all times. With submissive and Dominant both putting one another’s needs first, the dynamic flourishes. It deepens, and it takes you places you never knew existed.
Why Whims Why do Dominants’ whims come before submissives’ wants? Why are they on there at all? At least for me, explicitly putting my Dominant’s whims above my wants is a reminder of what it means to be owned. And I need to feel it sometimes. I need to know that my Dominant has no need to justify decisions. I plug my ass in the middle of the workday when told. I drop what I’m doing to complete a task. I deny my orgasms at the last minute. That is what it means to be owned. No other reason required. I need to know that my needs come first, but I also need to know that my desires come last. Very, very last. This is what my slave heart needs—not just in theory, but I need to see it.
For me, this is the fundamental structure of a D/s relationship. Different relationships may structure it differently. M/s will likely be different from DDlg, and the hierarchy may shift as two people build their dynamic. But the hierarchy makes a big impact on the dynamic. It’s not just the stated hierarchy; it’s the hierarchy reflected in your actions. How do your actions reflect your priorities? And does that create a dynamic where both partners can thrive?
