kpop demon hunters au where instead of trying to accept all parts of herself rumi decides to sacrifice herself in order to repair the original honmoon from near destruction into a psuedo gold honmoon, trapping herself down in hell with all the other demons

no one takes it well lmao mira and zoey immediately start to go fucking mad with grief bc they thought rumi was coming back to them, reaching out to them, and that they were about to save the world together. they basically immediately start trying to rip open the honmoon to get to rumi but esp at the heart of the repairs its nearly impenetrable so they have to give up and go home to try and figure something else out

celine has like. the crashout of the century which is impressive considering her last crashout was losing everything she loved to something she didnt even understand but now shes lost the last thing she loved to something she very much understands- her own mistakes. herself. and that manages to make it all infinitely worse

the three all end up convening at celine's house- mira and zoey to raid the library full of hunters research and celine searching for something to drink herself into unconsciousness- and it ends bloodily with much screaming

eventually they all calm down enough to start actually planning and the girls tell celine that no rumis not dead the honmoon just cut off her connection to them all bc shes now in hell instead("MIRA THAT MEANS SHES FUCKING DEAD") and theyre going to rip it to fucking shreds if it means they can have her back, demons getting through be damned

theyre both expecting a fight on this, a lecture or at the very minimum *some* form of pushback, but celines 100% down. she doesnt care. shes done. she wants her daughter back and if it means dooming the rest of the world it doesnt matter bc the world has already taken everything else from her and for fucks sake it cant have *her* too.

so they all agree and set out to research how tf theyre gonna get into hell and ideally get back out with rumi in tow

meanwhile rumis Suffering. gwi-ma was fucking pissed but gloating bc he could take it out on her at the very least so shes been going through the Horrors. eventually she manages to escape and starts going on a fucking rampage in hell lmao. being on the other side of the honmoon has basically suppressed all her human traits instead of her demon ones, and restraint/emotion regulation is a very much human trait. jinu and the saja boys are all down there with her and jus kinda cheering her on as the worlds most terrified cheerleading squad

This is my list of my most recommended jikook fanfics. I tried to keep it to five stories per category and it was so hard. There are so many good writers in this fandom. This list is cumulative of all that I have read since I became Army. I will probably update it periodically if I find other great stories.

All of the stories on this list are completed, except for a couple which are so long they feel complete. Also some titles may be cross listed in more than one category. I called things “best” in this list, and that assignation comes solely from my opinion as an avid reader (and writer). My career is dealing with reading, research and cataloging so compiling something like this felt natural to me. I wonder what the daggers thought of Pete when they first met him.

Of course they already met Captain Maverick Mitchell during their deployment and training detachment. But the Captain is cool and professional, absolutely genius and batshit crazy in the air, but there's a very real distance between them and though he's friendly and they all look up to him, there's still a barrier between them.

Then, one day they're invited over to Roosters House and they meet Admiral Thomas J Kazansky, who is casually sitting in the kitchen. After fumbled introductions are made and a stern look directed at Hangman that nearly made him sink through the floor much to the other daggers amusement, they learn that not only were they standing in the COMPACFLTs house, but he and his husband also raised Rooster after his parents passed.

As of on cue, there was a thunderous racket from the other end of the house, presumably near the garage, with crashes, bangs and wallops. After the quiet descended once again, no one moving a muscle, a strangly familiar voice called faintly from the source of the noise.

"Im okay!"

Admiral Kazansky, or Tom as he preferred simply sighed in a very fond manner, seemingly dripping with love amd exasperation in equal measures and shook his head.

Footsteps were then heard bounding towards the kitchen and a small stream of noise, little tinks of metals, whirring of clogs, bare feet against the floor and swishing clothes. The door swung open and their Captain, Maverick stood there in torn and dirty clothes, his white t shirt covered in mechanical grease and even threadbare in some places. His hair, usually neatly in place at work was a riot on his head, like he just woke up and there was a smear of engine grease down the side of his cheek that he seemed to be oblivious to.

He also didn't seem to notice the extra people there for lunch as his whole being was focused on the small hunk of wires and metal cradled in his big hands, as they weaved and fiddled with it incessantly.

Perhaps most different from their usual image of the Captain was his face. Under his mess of dark hair, there was a high excited flush on his cheeks, his eyes, which some of the dagger squad now realised were actually a bright green, were shining and completely focused on the project in his hands. And perhaps most different, a wide smile shone across his face.

So different from the Maverick smirks or the polite, tight and unamused smiles he gave admirals at work, or even the tired grin he sometimes gave, this was a true smile of absolute joy and happiness. It brightened his face, made him younger and took the shadows away. He was glowing and lighter in his feet even.

Mav didn't look up but bounded over to Ice unfailingly, burrowing into his side and giggling, actually giggling. Ice for his part, lifted his arm in a familiar motion to tuck Mav into his side protectively, cuddling him.

"Ice, Ice, Ice!! I got it!!!!!!"

Mav proudly held up the mess of circuits, metal and wires in his hands, presenting it for inspection.

For a moment the admiral seemed as lost as the other daggers, but then a realisation seemed to dawn and he also grinned wide, bright as Mav and sunshine-y in a way no one would have thought the ice cold admiral capable of.

"It's finally ready?" Iceman gasped, seemingly delighted and shocked!

Mav merely grinned and hummed a happy affirmative to him, still tucked under his arm, back to the daggers and wiggling slightly with untamed energy. The man was practically bouncing in place.

The bright, unguarded smiles, the boundless energy, the clear content happiness the two displayed in the others presence. It was clear. They were more than in love with each other, they were completely enamoured and adoring. This was Admiral Kazansky and Captain Mitchell. It wasn't even Iceman and Maverick. This was Tom and Pete.

The daggers were seeing Pete.

another OST from Begins ≠ Youth ("Breathe") was released (the first one was "Take It All" which is absolutely a work of art) and in the MV of the last one THEY INCLUDED THIS SCENE

they just added another scene THAT WE DIDN'T SAW IN THE SERIES in the middle of the mv like nothing and didn't elaborate. so the only explanation i can find to this is a reaffirmation of the fandom "theory" that we will actually have another season that has most likely already been recorded:

ALL THESE SCENES seem to be important and i wouldn't see an explanation as to why they would delete them, especially this part that i had already commented on once:

after the end of episode 12, this scene seems to me even more that here we see Hwan after already traveling through time trying to "fix things" this explains the feeling that this scene conveys that he knows the boys while the others seem confused...

99% chance this is the scene before the one where we see Jeha helping Cein with the injuries from the fight. the curiosity to know what made Cein get into a fight with those boys in front of Jeha is consuming my being, i need answers!!

this one i believe is Jeha talking to his mother? maybe? and Cein looking from afar maybe remembering his own mother and missing her or something? or concern for Jeha because he knows what his relationship with family is like? idk... but also as hyyh yoonkook sickens the neurons in my brain, i also thought about the possibility of it being Jeha talking to a girl and Cein getting jealous [sorry i'm not normal about them and i know it.]

is this one of the results of Hwan changing things and this happens instead of the brick scene?! because we see Jeha walking like that before, could it be that after managing to prevent Jeha's half brother from sending those false messages and setting up the trap, Cein finds Jeha walking in the middle of the road among the cars and runs to help?? HELP ME

at the end of the day, this all only fueled my hopeful mind and made me even more certain that season 2 is real and now we just have to wait for it to be released. otherwise i'll kms /j
