You did not imagine that Lion & Rook fic, it was called Soothsayer iirc, and the writer was smashinterrupted. However, after a really nasty and prolonged bout of drama, the writer ended up deleting everything and leaving the fandom.

Thank you for information, kind soul. Oh, that explains alot. Remembering this fic feels like lucid dream, I had no idea how to tell my therapist that I kinda imagined reading touching story.

I remember reading this piece like 20 times in span of week after I discovered it and then after +year I had big need to re-read this piece (it was part of my self-healing after huge event irl). I have no information of drama but regardless of situation, or author, they prob know whats best for them. Anyway bless them for such adventure, their story was for random readers like me, it healed my perception of trust.
