28.04.2026, Tuesday. Spring is progressing nicely - along with my mood. The semester started pleasantly enough, but I can already feel the stress catch up. I'll be doing a lot of reading this semester, including Gogol's Dead Souls and Austen's Emma. However, I'm also trying to prioritise movement and social interactions this season. As long as the sun is out, I'll be fine.

biotechnology lab today, physics lab tomorrow, but that is, at least, it, and all of the other classes i have for the week are lectures. looking forward to a new totebag, new gym membership, and getting back on track in both school and life

I did some thesis-related studying today, but mostly I've spent this weekend working on a presentation for the catalysis seminar. It's yet another presentation where I get to talk about things from within my area of interest: lanthanide chemistry and spectroscopy, just in relation to catalysis. I'm afraid there'll be no shutting me up once I get out there and start yapping. They'll have to take the laser pointer from me by force

Spent ~5h studying in the library - I really missed it! Currently trying to sign up for my exams and trying not to lose my mind; I genuinely don’t understand how the stupid program works…

survived another week of grad school! got my homework done with a lot less stress than last week thankfully and got through another set of math videos. feeling accomplished!

Usually i study on saturdays and rest on sundays, but since this week has been kinda intense AND thanks to dst we get an extra hour, i decided to swap the two. Now i get an extra hour for my assignments! Just like that! I still did a bit of research today for my security group project, but nothing too serious. In the afternoon i had a video call with my friends back home. We had a lot of fun (and a ton of technical problems, but that was part of the fun). I'm really glad we still find some time to chat, even though we’re thousands of kilometers apart and living full, busy lives. I appreciate them so much💞

Worked for a total of 5 1/2h and only got the things done I couldn’t do while I was sick. Somebody explain to me why my to-do list never seems to end? Finished my lecture notes for tefl & pedagogy no2, finished my notes for next weeks english class and got started on the tasks I have to hand in for pedagogy 2 (it’s a mindmap & a drawing lol - teaching major things) - still far away from finishing that, but the tasks for pedagogy 1 get uploaded tomorrow, which means: more stuff for my to-do list. I have my first seminar for teaching english tomorrow & the wednesday group (who has the same lecturer) wasn’t too happy about it - we’ll see how things will go. Also tried out the weird elevator on campus (paternoster lift - still undecided whether I like it or not lol)

to-do: pedagogy 1 lecture notes + tasks, pedagogy 2 tasks, continue writing exercise☂️
