ShadowPeach Bio Parents AU Physical Book: an Update:
The second batch of Book Proof arrived!!!
Look how Thick these bad boys are!
I still have plenty to do, like fixing some color issues, grammars and typos, and setting them up on the shop and getting better pictures (plus I'm ordering a third batch just to be sure everything is correct), so you guys will need to be patient for a little longer.
But on a positive note, I know now the estimate pricing for each!
Volume 1 will be ~25€ (350 pages)
Volume 2 will be ~35€ (560 pages)
Second Star will be ~15€ (180 pages)
Lulu shipping is around 9/10€ for a whole order of 3 books to have an idea.
I'm happy to have found a decent compromise in terms of quality/price so that it's still lower than what we expected at the beginning. (We edtimated 70/90€ for V1 and V2 alone)
Plus I've added a new goal on Ko-Fi! (Still much lower than the last one) I need all the support you could give me for the Spicynoodles Bio Parents AU because I'm pretty sure it will surpass the workload for the previous books 😭 i think I spent around 60 hours minimun on this project so far.
TIP TIP TIP TIP DO IT DO IT
THE COMICS THIS GUY MAKES ARE FUCKING BANGER GUYS IM DOWNLOADING KO-FI AFTER MY SHIFT AT WORK TO TIP AND PRE-ORDER IF ITS AN OPTIONS
GIVE THEM MONEY GIVE THEM MONEY DO IT DO IT DO IT YOU KNOW YOU WANT TOO!!! :D
part 3 yayayay

part 2
I keep getting lazier and lazier with the quality of these but i doubt too many people have really noticed before i pointed it out just now
Never knew how much better seeing something like this would make me feel about my own overbite
I think asexuals across the favorable-averse spectrum could benefit from accepting that asexuality is a different experience for different people, and we should be able to talk about our experiences without a plethora of disclaimers attached. If I see a post along the lines of "the asexual urge to write the horniest fic possible" I recognize that while that is not at all my experience of asexuality, it is theirs, and I don't feel a need to say "hang on, that's not the case for everyone, that's just your experience, don't generalize!" Because they are making a post about themself and others like them, not about me. And along these same lines, when an asexual conflates their asexuality with their disinterest in/dislike of sex, perhaps you could simply assume that that is their experience, and that those things are intertwined for them, even if they didn't add seven disclaimers about how being favorable is also Real and Valid and Awesome and Cool. Like, maybe they're talking about them, not being sex-negative and invalidating You Personally. (Maybe non-favorable aces should not be constantly presumed to be puritanical sex-negative prudes for vocalizing any distaste for sex, and expected to affirm sex-positivity at every opportunity, as if it's an activism membership card that absolves us of the terrible sin of not being too enthusiastic about sex.)
Yes!! I like this alot! I mean, I just assumed thats what people meant they mention asexuality. Unless they specify it applying to a group or something, but I digress!
I remember being in middle school and alot of my friends asking me who I found attractive, because I never dated or had an interest in it. When I mentioned a few people some of them mentioned how I must like them romantically to a degree, because I thought they were nice to look at.
I had explained that I just view people like I do bouqets of flowers! Some have white lillies with those weird long leaf things tied up with a bow, and some are those cool wilted black roses with the little white speckle plants to fill the vase! People are flowers! They are planted, they grow, they bloom, they exist, some of them fuck and have kids, and then they die.
I didn't realize that wasn't how all people viewed others until I was reminded of racism. /j
Kyatto VESSEL - Rewirte Sonic
A redesign I forgot to show of Kyatto, the new name for Big the Cat Vessel, for the world of Rewrite Sonic
The giant lazy cat is a real sleepyhead because he’s too lazy to even want to move.
Rewrite Sonic doesn’t like him because he always falls asleep while playing, and that really annoys Rewrite Sonic. Kyatto doesn’t follow the rules of the games and prefers to do as he pleases.
He dreams of one day becoming a fisherman, but it remains just a dream since all the lakes are completely devoid of fish.
His nap buddy is Kaeru, a frog pillow that Kyatto made himself so he could sleep comfortably. Kyatto always takes Kaeru everywhere, but he often loses Kaeru.
The names Kyatto (キャット) and Kaeru-chan (カエルちゃん) come from the Japanese names for Big the Cat and Froggy. ビッグ・ザ・キャット Biggu za Kyatto. カエルくん Kaeru-kun.
The inspiration for Kyatto’s creation came from: the original design of Eggman, when he wore pajamas, and Philip from Space Funeral.
@redacted-anomaly I thought you might like looking at this big scrimblo!! Look at how shape he is!! <3
Not pertinent to anything in particular but I do think it's kinda weird that we keep depicting cavemen in media crawling around on all fours covered in dirt with tangled, matted hair, speaking in broken, cobbled-together toddler language when like.
They were us.
Like literally genetically they were US, just like. A while ago.
Like
Would you trust a TV caveman with a baby? Probably not
A real life caveman though??? I think they'd be at least okay at it
This is actually really important and comes up in Anthropology classes all. The. Time.
As long as homo sapiens have existed, we have had the same emotional and mental capacity as you and I do today. You nailed it. They were US. Even Neaderthals existed alongside and had offspring with Homo Sapiens for many thousands of years.
There's much evidence that cavemen would have had complex spoken language, culture (learned information passed down), symbolic interpretation, and I think they most certainly would have been able to handle holding a baby. In fact I have my suspicisions that an ancient homo sapiens mother may be a more present, attentive, and knowledgable mom than I could be today.
Do not let media trick you into believing we are the pinnacle of humanity. Unilinial evolution theory (google it quick I beg) is BUNK, GARBAGE, and the root of so much evil.
We've been human for a long, long time, and we are not inherently better than all those who came before.
One the most profound experiences of my life was visiting Font de Gaume, which has 12 thousand year old paintings. They use a technique where the horses appeared to run across the wall when seen in flickering firelight. There was a bison the wall staring at us with such attitude, I could practically hear him. I had the most profound feeling of those ancient artists reaching forward to lay their hands on my shoulders. To say, "This was my world." It was a profoundly moving experience.
Some years later, I went to the Orkney islands where we visited a tiny family run museum of artifacts from the chambered tomb at the other end of the farm. They handed me a pestle once held by some neolithci human. They'd worn groves where the thumb and forefinger would be for better grip.
One time, in a French history class, my teacher randomly at the end of the class had all of us draw a sketch of a horse. And we were all like ??? Okay???
At the beginning of the next class, my teacher showed us a cave painting of a horse. And then he showed all of our horses, which he had scanned and put into the presentation.
He then pointed out all the ways that our horses looked similar to the prehistoric horse. Same features, drawn from the same angle, etc.
And then he asked us, "Isn't it cool that you draw horses the same way as someone who lived 20,000 years ago?"
Yeah. That stuck with me for a while.
In Spain, there's a cave full of ancient, ice age era drawings of bison and reindeer and other animals of that period... And one small section of chaotic scribbles just a little away from everything else. These scribblesv were so incomprehensible, they were originally just called the 'Panel of Enigmatic Signs'... Until it occurred to someone that drawings only three feet off the ground probably weren't made by adults.
Scientists are now pretty sure the scribbles were made by kids ages 3-6, more or less on their own. The adult cave artists were probably doing what any modern parent might do when they want to keep small children out of their hair for awhile: they gave the kids some drawing tools of their own and a small section of wall to work on, out of the way but still close enough to keep an eye on them, and let them have at it.
What's most charming about the whole thing is the way the cave scribbles look exactly like what you'd find on the wall of a preschool today. Artistic styles vary widely across different times and cultures, but child development is as near to a universal human experience as it gets.
Wisher made detailed 3D scans of the drawings, which helped her understand the uneven pressure applied to the charcoal and the direction the lines were drawn. The team then compared the panel’s composition with age-appropriate artistic efforts by modern children. Kids across cultures go through the same developmental stages, which influence their physical ability to draw, until about the age of 6, Amir notes.
The team compared the ancient art with the developmental stages exhibited by modern children: the furiously scribbled circles and push-pull lines typical of 3-year-olds just learning to control their bodies, for example, or the wobbly, right-angled figures of slightly older kids beginning to master fine motor skills.
Both are apparent in the cave, superimposed on each other as though two or more kids were drawing at once. That’s a clue the Las Monedas marks were likely made by “siblings or a mixed-age play group within the sphere of safety around adults, but also within their own space,” says co-author Felix Riede, an Aarhus archaeologist.
...
Adults at Las Monedas would have been aware of what the kids were doing and presumably had lit fires or torches; without ample firelight the cave is pitch black.
The concept of being 4 months clean from ai...
idc what you guys think I'm proud of him
Several AI services (chatbots ) are purposely addictive, the same way people can become addicted to gambling or shopping. We’ve literally seen in real time how ChatGPT has caused psychosis and delusions in people; it can have a huge affect on someones’s mental stability. Just because it isn’t substance-based doesn’t mean that doesn’t count as an addiction, and shaming people who are trying to move on and improve themselves is counterproductive. Im proud of that dude and his 4 month mark!
AI chatbots can fuel emotional dependence and blur boundaries. Emerging research highlights significant mental health risks. Here are import
Large language models often prioritise agreeability over truthfulness to the detriment of users
AI addiction includes the overuse of AI chatbots and companions, often leading to adverse psychological effects.
Some articles to back my statements, and this isn’t even mentioning about the predatory chatbots who do this on purpose

what do you mean liking someone's posts every so often doesn't count as social interaction??
What do you mean scrolling through a mutuals profile and re-liking their stuff for the millionth time doesn't count as a social interaction? How else am I meant to show how cool i think their work is! TALKING?!? NEVER.
