alcohol tw, mentions of fighting, strong language.
All Hyunjae had wanted was to be left alone as he drank himself into a nice buzz. He didn’t particularly want to even be at this party tonight, but his members insisted that he needed to loosen up and have fun again. This probably wasn’t the best way to get him back on the scene, though. Or any of them, for that matter.
None of them members knew v-trouble would be at the party. And they were just as their name implied—trouble.
It was natural that the Imaginair and v-trouble members didn’t mix well together. With all the tension between their groups, it would take a miracle for them to even share a friendly look.
Hyunjae didn’t know them very well, not personally, but he didn’t need to know them to know he didn’t like them. But even with the animosity between them, that didn’t mean he wanted to confront them—especially not now, when he was still dealing with his own public humiliation.
A tight feeling pulls at Hyunjae’s chest as he weaves through the crowd, doing anything not to be noticed by the girls laughing and dancing. He was already well on his way to being drunk and just wanted so badly to stay out of fights tonight—was it so wrong to have a few drinks and relax?
This is so fucked up, hiding at a party where they should be the ones afraid of being caught by him. Anger flares in Hyunjae’s whole body as he reaches for a shot (a beer, a wine cooler, soju, anything) and mutters under his breath, “Fuck this.”
He wanders for a bit, looking for a place to hideout until one of his members found him, but the universe just isn’t looking on him kindly tonight.
As he stumbles around a corner, he finds himself in the company of HELLI0N’s leader, who looks up to greet him with a sharp expression.
Sunan was bad news, at least in Hyunjae’s eyes. With anyone else, he could normally keep his temper controlled, but Sunan somehow managed to coax out his bad side every time they happened to run into each other. They’ve fought more often than not, and everything between them was a competition.
Was there anyone Hyunjae liked at this party?
They say something, probably an insult of some kind (because that’s all they can seem to say to each other), but Hyunjae’s not focused on them as movement catches his eye. It’s one of the v-trouble members looking for drinks, her eyes scanning the room, so close to where the two rappers are standing—
On drunken impulse, Hyunjae’s fingers wrap tight around Sunan’s wrist and he drags the other with him, out of sight.
Sunan wondered for a moment if Hyunjae had finally lost it. Was he drunk? Was Sunan going to have to fight him? Oh no, had he finally realized his utter devotion to Sunan? That occasionally happened and Sunan was not ready to stomach a love confession from Hyunjae of all people. It would end in blood and they had a feeling Mural would not take kindly to that.
Sunan was self-aware enough to know that they brought out the worst in Hyunjae. Still, they weren’t going to make it easy on him. Sunan was easily bored and sometimes, that meant taking it out on Hyunjae. Nothing short of the latter telling their mother could stop it.
They swore while trying to rip their arm away from Hyunjae.
“Are you trying fight with me or flirt with me?”
They glared, letting Hyunjae which one would be more welcome. Maybe the hiatus had driven Hyunjae to the brink. Sunan was prepared to smugly remind Hyunjae exactly who was winning their competition (after all, he was getting a credit on the next comeback), when Sunan spotted exactly what Hyunjae was running from.
“Are you telling me I was kidnapped me because you’re scared of someone half your size? I am not a bodyguard, you know.”
