i think it's unfortunate that though games like the sims and the new tomodachi life are getting lauded for their lgbt representation (which is great and necessary, don't get me wrong), i haven't seen much discussion about how they severely lack any kind of disability representation. no wheelchairs or other mobility aids like canes or crutches, no amputee options. sims 4 only recently added blood glucose monitors and hearing aids in create-a-sim, but there's no gameplay functionality to go with them. i was trying to make a disabled oc in tomodachi life and i just think it sucks that lots of folks still can't make a character that truly represents them, even in 2026.

jesus christ????
what the fuck.
#the worst is when a kid fucking dies #and his parents try to raise awareness that your kid could fucking die #but all they get is other parents telling them their kid died because he was bad at football
i really like how the milkman exists as an entirely fossilized character who now serves no purpose other than to fuck people's wives for the punchline
disabled men too btw. like in terms of turning legitimate conversations on oppression into a forum for misogynists who are mad that women, both abled and disabled, are not available to them, and are mad that they're "emasculated' by ableism, or by their own bodies not meeting the abled standard for masculinity, and take that out on the women around them. acting like disabled women are not legitimate disabled people, not deserving of space as theorists, and don't understand what it's like to really be disabled. it's so blatantly obvious.
i was talking about this with a friend earlier (another disabled trans man) but i think the hierarchy of what disabilities are seen as "legitimate" vs what disabilities are seen as "lazy faker disease" is literally just "disabilities associated with men (especially veterans)" > "disabilities without a strong gender association" > "disabilities associated with women"
and what we're watching in real time is autism become a disability associated with women, and therefore it's now the bogeyman of disability tumblr "don't you dare comment on this post if you're just going to talk about autism" and the autism boymoms of instagram saying "our diagnosis was stolen"
You’ll find over and over again in double disabled relationships where both have similar disabilities that the woman is doing the vast majority of the housework in spite of her disabilities. As goes for interracial disabled relationships; again and again I’ve seen my chronically ill friends of colour take on the vast majority of the housework in lesbian relationships
i see that you media addicted louts have filled your tomodachi life islands with video game and movie characters instead of great leftist thinkers
call me crazy but i think public transportation should explicitly also be for actively drunk/high people. so they don’t, you know, drive under the influence.
u can be boiling alive in your mind for months and then on a random tuesday ur head gets so clear and life is worth living again and you're like damn what was all that about then
