So there's the whole "Trojans never got a red card" thing, right? So what if—wait a minute, let me cook—what if the first red card ever received happens while they’re defending Jean? What if it’s Jeremy who gets carded? mr. captain sunshine himself, losing his temper over someone hurting Jean.

It would be even better if the fans supported his actions, like, of course, our captain had to do something; no one can mess with the golden raven then just go on about their day, that's obviously not how it works.

The first motorcycle ride Jeremy going on not being the jerejean catlaila double date ride, but after he uses the phrase Jean taught him. Climbing on the back of the bike when Jean gets to him and shaking so hard Jean is sure he’ll fall off, but squeezing Jean so tightly that Jean is worried jeremy will break a rib or two. Still, though, Jean drives. And there is the urge to drive Jeremy straight home and hide him away from the rest of the world and things that can harm him, but he remembers the way Jeremy showed him around after his water therapy session and let him calm down away from too caring & prying eyes. Remembers the way it felt so daunting relieving to see that the world was bigger than the nest when Cat took him out riding the first time, so he drives and drives and drives until Jeremy stops trembling and loosens his grip, until the gentle sobs stop wracking his frame, and then turns them back toward the Lofts.

thinking about how every time jeremy hooks up with someone, he describes those men being hungry for him. faser’s hungry embrace and leo’s hungry kisses. how elias checked him out for so long and unashamedly that made jean jealous. how jean thought “food wouldn’t sate this gnawing hunger” when jeremy smiled at him and he had to leave the room. how jean said seeing jeremy naked under the shower was enough to put a hungry knot in his gut.

I was thinking about the fact that the Trojans do part of their training in water, and that's like 80% of the reason Jean sought a therapist to talk about that part of his trauma.

So what if — and walk with me here — in the next book, we actually see him trying to participate in the training? I don’t think he’d want everyone to see that side of him, so maybe he asks Jeremy to help.

Imagine how sweet that would be — just the two of them, taking slow steps in the pool. Jeremy being even gentler than he normally is, because he wants to make sure Jean knows he's safe, that no one is going to hurt him.

I don’t know, I just think Jean is on his journey to get better, and this is a major part of his trauma that he’s already shown he wants to heal from. Anyway, I really believe this could be addressed in the next book, and I think it's very possible he asks Jeremy to help — because he trusts him. And it would be so meaningful to have Jeremy’s presence be an active reminder that Jean is in a safe place now.

I'm constantly thinking about the phrase Jean taught Jeremy to use if he needs to escape. The fact that we have no idea what the phrase is makes me think that Jeremy will eventually use it in the next book.

Just imagine him having a bad fight at his house. Like, every single one of them is bad, but this one is the breaking point (maybe after he fails the LSATs, because we all know he’s not passing that shit). And the first thing he does is call Jean and just say it—the phrase in French Jean taught him to use when he's in danger.

Jean getting on his bike and breaking every speed limit to get to his man, all the while planning a homicide in his head. I mean, he put Bryson through a windshield just because Jeremy’s face went blank—I can only imagine what he’ll do when Jeremy actually asks for help.

Something that always gets me in ships is the sunshine x grumpy trope — except it has the delicious twist of the "sunshine" actually not being very sunshine at all, just good at pretending, and the "grumpy" being the softest person you've ever met — they just have a rough way of showing it.

That exact dinamic will make me climp the walls of my room at 3 am while reading.

another favorite friendship unlocked, Jean and Cody are adorable. it's so hilarious how Trojans basically follow Jean around like curious ducklings, fighting for their turn to spend time with him

the trojans dinamic with jean is just so adorable, the double D deciding that they need a new french brother, the flozies including him fully in their dynamic, the first years yearning for just a little of his attention and begin him to teach them the raven drills cause they think he is just so cool.
