It was in that moment

I felt the breeze

of the cold spring morning;

For some reason, I wasn’t cold

I felt... good,

the air was nothing, I inhaled relief.

That constant fear gave up on me,

I saw its grumpy face glancing back at me

as it walked away;

I bet it was nice accompanying me for 14 years

but I was no longer eligible

of being its host.

The balcony that morning was my temple,

I envisioned it flooding,

water merging with my soul,

I became free as the ocean itself.

Moments later, the glass on my balcony fence

started cracking under pressure;

all the water poured on the floors beneath.

And there was I again,

alone, starved and dry as a bone.
