What do I love about Bryke's blatant insecurity always ensuring that Katara and Zuko never speak or interact? It's that you can make them say or do almost anything together and there's no canon evidence to contradict it.

Want to say Zuko and Katara enter dance competitions together twice a year? Nothing says they didn’t.

Zuko and Katara sneak out, get drunk and swap dirty jokes whenever they meet? Yea that absolutely happens.

Katara and Zuko are doing a rewrite of Love Amongst Dragons together via multiple letters a week? Totally plausible.

I think that's what I love about the cheating fics/headcanons coming out in retaliation to the outpouring of violent hate from kataang shippers. It threads the loophole in Bryke's insecurity so perfectly that there's no defense other than 'Katara/Zuko would never' and even that barely holds water because, how do we know?

There is nothing in canon you can point to, to solidly contradict it. The narrative gives us everything we need to make it work too. Zuko is still single, Aang is canonically gone for long periods of time. We have no idea what Katara and Zuko talk about or how they interact except they're being shown to act exactly the way two people in a secret relationship do. Don't touch, don't talk, don't even look at each other, in case someone figures it out'

First Bryke tried to make Zutara impossible and then the kataangs mocked trying to instigate more hate. Instead they've somehow created a monster they can't get ahead of and it's breaking their canon.

I'm gonna say it: it's weird how the batfam fandom acts as if Batwoman is cooler and better than Batman, and by that I mean acting as if Kate Kane is cooler and better than Bruce. And I know why y'all are doing that, it's because she a woman and a lesbian, and you want cool queer female characters. But Batwoman is a soldier, a member of the US military.

I didn't use "ex" because she still works exactly like a soldier, and she even works with her father, a general of the US military, and gets financial support from his own military project supported by the US gov, and even soldiers to command sometimes. Damn, she still works with him after the man tried to kill her cousin and his kids. Like, this woman is sooooo ingrained in the US military.

Like, if Bruce were to be an ounce as involved with the US military as Kate is, people would call him a fascism scum. People already treat him like shit because he dares to work with the police as a detective, when he literally just steal their shit, do their job and leave the criminals on their doorsteps. He trusts one cop, that's it. I have seen people say that he was the worst on out of the trinity because he "works with the cops", or even say that his morals are about following the law, which is not true at all.

Meanwhile, Batwoman is literally behaving like a soldier, reporting to her general father, being ok with killing because "any police officer or soldier would make the same call and they would be commended". And I really hate how other characters are telling Bruce that he has no say in her wearing his symbol, that he cannot be against it. Like, he made that symbol against the CORRUPTION in his city and the powers in place, to bring hope and justice for all, and she is using it while being in cahoot with the US military. Batman, the guy that never accepted to follow an order from the US gov, even when the rest of the Justice League did.

Anyway, I never really like Kate Kane (the modern one) because she is so tangled into the US military, and it's weird how people acts as if saying she is cooler than Bruce is some progressive shit because she is a woman and queer, when how she works is not it, and y'all would throw a fit if Bruce was like her.

Lucifer sighs and reaches behind himself, his hand pushing something up.
