Ok, I know I sent another ask already so no rush or anything. 👍🏾
The tgcf audio drama covers are frequently on my dash and they're so pretty! But also, since you're learning the language, have you considered listening to the TGCF audio drama?
I hear really good things about the voice acting and from what I've heard they are adapting the revised, uncensored version.
Since you're knee deep in the language, I thought it could be another fun way to take in the novel. Obviously no pressure to do so. I saw another recent promo for it and just thought to mention it to you. 😊
Annnnd the voice actors- (can't recall if it was the donghua team or audio drama team) but one team of voice actors did the scene between Xie Lian and Hua Cheng where Hua Cheng is fading away and Xie Lian's begging him to stay and it's painfully beautiful.
Let me know if you're in the mood to feel ❤️❤️💔💔💔😭😭 and I can try and find the link. 🤣👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾
I’ve thought about it, but there are 2 reasons why I never got into the audio drama:
I hate starting unfinished/currently updating projects that I have no guarantee will be finished.
Audio stories are not my thing.
I have tabled learning how to physically speak Mandarin, indefinitely.
When I first started learning, my only priority was learning hanzi because I was tryna read, but I still went through the verbal and audio responses until I quickly realized that I’d actually have to dedicate more effort to that that I couldn’t spare unless I was gonna slow down on my reading learning. Chinese has different sounds than English, and I already have auditory processing issues, so there are sounds I literally cannot differentiate as of now and won’t ever be able to without more intense dedication to that, specifically (same with speaking since I have a clumsy tongue, but that’s still easier for me). Hence the tabling lol
