I am currently trying to lose weight and get healthier. I was shocked when I saw photos of myself at a family wedding and decided to try and change things. So I am trying to eat sensibly (tracking calories on myfitnesspal) and exercise consistently. It is going to be a slow process and after 3 weeks I have noticed a few things.
Firstly I am not getting cravings for junk food like I normally do- this is brilliant as in my head I don’t feel like I am depriving myself.
Second, I am sleeping better than I have done in months.
I have been cycling 3/4 times a week. I started off only just managing 30 mins at a fairly steady pace. I now do 45 mins and can push myself. I even did two bike rides the other day. I feel stronger and I am more comfortable getting out of breath.
Oh and I got a new job as a full time Library Assistant at a University which is really cool. Hopefully I can continue with the progress I am making with the additional stress of a new job and the long commute.
