1. Do you know your characters’ MBTI personalities?  Not generally, but when I get bored sometimes I’ll take the quiz for one of my characters--the only one I remember at the moment is León’s, and he’s an ISFJ-T 💖

2. Favorite writing trope? Oh, I love just about every trope related to nuance and gray morality--evil virtues might be my all time fave!

3. Favorite genre? Oh, probably fantasy! I mostly grew up with fantasy and it has a very special place in my heart 💖 Even my scifi stories are truly science fantasy lol

4. What would your characters be for Halloween? León-- would dress up as a giant tax bill lol Vicente-- honestly, either a playboy bunny or one of those black and white striped criminal outfits

5. Do you have a favorite of your OCs? N-no, I’m a good mother who loves all her children equally (read: León)

6. Is your wip setting varied or one spot? Varied! It’s set both along the US’s west coast (Portland, OR is the main spot) and throughout a few locations in the Philippines.

7. What genre is your wip? My current main WIP, The People vs San Andres, is dark contemporary fiction--it also leans heavily into being a legal thriller! 

8. What time of day do you do most of your writing? Anytime I can fit it in tbh, but mostly in the evening/at night/abhorrently early in the morning! I find I’m most productive if I do chores/irl stuff/school stuff in the morning and early afternoon, and then when I’m done for the day I allow myself to write... I use my writing breaks (I’m bad about taking these, it’s kind of whatever) to study/get ahead on stuff for the next day

9. Favorite medium to write? (Computer, paper, etc) On my computer, for sure! I like writing on paper to help get over blocks/plot issues, but otherwise my head goes too fast to keep up with--I have a fairly fast typing speed and it’s still hard to keep up, haha!

10. Your OC(s)’s favorite color? León’s is a forest green! He likes earthy colors, for the most part. 

11. How do you over come writer’s block? I’m the worst about this, but I find switching projects helpful! I also like to switch to writing by hand, or rewriting the most recent scene to find out where my block is coming from.

ok, so i live in a 2 bedroom apartment and there’s a room like in each corner and the bathroom is in the middle. one evening, i’m on my laptop on my bed with my brother playing his plyastation here. my grandparents and parents aren’t home, and I didn’t realize my sister wasn’t here (SO I THOT SHE WAS HOME W/ US). so i hear a knock on my wall from the bathroom, i laugh and think it’s my sister and I knock back. 2 knocks come right after and I return them, then 3 knocks and I knock 4 times after that.  legit 1 minute later my sister calls me to check if our cats have canned food and i’m confused bc i was like “you check, aren’t you home???” and she was like “no, my mom and I are at walmart” and MY JAW DROPPED OPEN. LIKE WHAT THE FUCK. I SWEAR NO ONE ELSE WAS HOME BESIDE MY BROTHER AND I AND WE WERE IN THE SAME ROOM. AND I IMMEDIATELY THOUGHT BACK TO TE INSIDIOUS MOVIE WHERE THE GIRL GOT BEAT UP IN HER ROOM AND ALMOST CRIED BC I AM NOT DOWN FOR THAT. TO THIS DAY, IDK WHO IT WAS. (this was like 2 weeks ago). 9: If you could meet anyone dead or alive who would that be?

1. How long have you been writing? I started writing when I was 7, so I’ve been on and off for 13 years! 

2. What are the major themes of your current WIP(s)? Freedom/individuality, obsession, subjective morality, death, love... understanding/what it means to be understood.  

3. What do you want people to take away from your story once they’ve read it? I don’t really... concern myself with take-aways? If my readers finish my books and spend any amount of time chewing on the complexity of the subjects and themes I write about... that’s all I can ask. 

4. Would you be excited if people wrote fanfiction about your WIPs? YES. Yes, yes, yes!!! I’ve written a lot of fanfiction in the past and for someone to put in enough dedication to write fanfiction for something I created... That’s like, a fever dream, I can’t even comprehend it. The only problem is I’d want to read it and I couldn’t asdfghjkl

 5. What’s your go-to writing beverage? Coffee with lots of cream, and/or a can of sparkling water! 

6. Who is your favorite OC? i-i uh, love them equally like any good parent I love, love, love León. I see so much of myself in him--he’s definitely developed on his own and is far from a self-insert, but he’s kind of cycled around to share a lot of things with me that I didn’t intend. He’s also got a lot of things in his own head that he’s tried to keep on lockdown, but there’s a lot of self-destructive elements to him, and that puts him on this precipice and it’s super fascinating to watch what happens when you give him a little shove.

7. Do you feel mistakes are important learning tools in the writing journey? For sure! Mistakes are important in every journey, and you don’t stop making them just because you’ve journeying for a while, either (although theoretically the mistakes you make shouldn’t be the same ones over again lol)! I make mistakes all the time, but they’re different mistakes (or at least fewer) than the ones I made when I was, say, 11. 

8. Rank your OCs by their capability in a foot chase (either running from or after something, your choice).

9. Does your WIP have romance? Tell us about it! If not, tell us about an important friendship/relationship/dynamic! Yes! The romance between Vicente and León is central to the story--they’re able to meet and interact with each other on a lot of levels that most people couldn’t. They’re both kind of coy about their crimes and engage in a lot of wordplay, and they’re both very immoral, and their traumas have a lot of overlap. But their relationship hits on so many levels that it allows them to reveal a lot that they wouldn’t otherwise, and it loops back around to León’s self-destructiveness. 

10. Do you believe in the advice kill your darlings? Mm... like all advice, it has a time and a place, and that place is not universal. I, personally, am not a huge fan of it, but I also generally don’t prefer writing/stories that are too lean and I’m sure that’s related.

11. Do you prefer plotting or worldbuilding? Why? Worldbuilding, for sure! I’m not very good at plotting--I almost never follow any plotting I do in advance, so it usually just stresses me out and I’m at the point where I almost skip over the plotting stage entirely--but worldbuilding is so, so much fun. I love creating new places and cultures and systems, and doing research to incorporate realistic aspects, and I have so much fun with slipping small pieces of that work into my stories.

1. Who was your first OC? Tell us something about them! Laurence wasn’t my first ever OC but he was the first that wasn’t a literal self-insert. Like most of my characters he had an unchecked attitude problem (snark/sarcasm/emotional temperature of a walk-in freezer), and he was tall and gaunt and bc I’m self-indulgent he had cotton-candy blue hair, idk. Oh! And he was one of 11 people in the world who could traverse between Heaven/Hell/the mortal plane which meant he was 1) cursed to suffer rebirth for eternity; and 2) was the subject of an interdimensional war between Heaven and Hell. 

That WIP actually had some really cool worldbuilding I’m ngl

2. Who was your favorite OC you’ve ever made? It’s hard to say because I genuinely love them all but... probably Jackal? I love everything about him. He and I aren’t actually all that alike, but he resonates with me on a level that most characters don’t. I can think of some poetic reasons but it’s probably because we’re both dumb as hell.

3. Are there any passions/interests you find yourself slipping into your writing? guns and murder Strangely enough, no. A lot of my characters have hobbies that are totally different from mine. 

4. What’s your preferred place to write? My sofa! Especially because I recently reorganized part of my living room so now I’ve got space to lay out a yoga mat and daydream stretch whenever I get lost midway through a scene. 

5. What genre do you write most and why? SF/F! My parents both read a lot of epic fantasy so it’s what I grew up with, and I love worldbuilding and escapism. But I also write a lot of romance into my projects because I’m hopeless.

6. Do you listen to music while writing? If so, what kind of music? Oh, yes!! I’ll listen to anything as long as it’s dangerously loud tbh, but mostly I listen to rock and post-grunge.

7. Do you have a favorite WIP? If so, which one? Probably Eosophobia, even though I’m not posting much about it/I’ve taken it out of drafting and back to plotting! I love every single character in EOS and as much fun as I have with my other projects, EOS hits every single button of my ideal story: grimdark; violent; slow-burn romance; found family; colorful characters.

8. Is there anyone who inspires you to keep writing? Myself tbh  ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

9. If your WIP was made into a movie, who would you want to play your main character(s)? I honestly have no clue other than I really, really need Mads Mikkelsen to play Oswald. I need it to happen. He-- I-- /swoons

10. Do you like to write from an outline? Not really? I can’t usually bring myself to finish an outline in the first place. Everything I’ve ever done has been pantsed with only a vague mental outline to guide me. 

11. Do you prefer writing during the day or night? I’m more of a night person, so I guess at night, but I’ll take my writing time whenever I can!

I have like 3 or 4 books that I’m currently reading.. So I’ll just say the finished one which is The Classic Winnie The Pooh by A.A. Milne. I used this book as one of my reading logs in English last year. Winnie The Pooh was one of my favorite shows when I was a kid, reading it made me remember parts of the shows and gave me ideas that I didn’t know before. 2. What country are you from? I’m from the Philippines. 3. Favorite show as a child? Winnie the Pooh was my favorite, When I was a kid I had like adorble clothes with them on it. I also liked PPG, totally spies, teen titans etc. I don’t remember the others hehe.. 4. What’s your mbti type? INFJ 5. Favorite Youtuber? I love tyler oakley!! I like his personality and his laugh. Watching his videos always makes be smile!! :D 6. Favorite season? I don’t have a specific favorite. We only have 2 seasons here(rainy & dry seasons). I did experience Autumn though (in another country lol) I haven’t experienced Spring but I think it’s a lovely season. 7. What do you want to study/ are studying in university? There’s a long story behind it, I want Chemical Engineering.. but my major is BioChem. 8. Favorite lip balm flavor? I always buy cherry but theres one that my cousin has and I liked it, it’s blueberries&chocolate 💕 9. How do you procrastinate? When I was in HS this really worked for me. I would wake up very early and study my notes and would also study few mins. before a test. From my former course, we would only meet once a week and it’s quite chill but I’d still at times procrastinate lol, I only tend to have late nights when needed lol. 10. Favorite flavor of tea? I love blueberries so… blueberry tea😁 11. Do you like the rain? Yes, I do. Mostly if it suspends school during rainy seasons lol.
