Operation Jump Gate is not a sequel; rather, it acts as a five mission expansion disc to the original Shock Wave. If you want a game you can play for weeks on end and you're itching to get hooked, go for it. It's your world. I still have a long way to go in the game and I'm enjoying every minute of it. Both Shock Wave and Operation Jump Gate would be combined into the Western-only PS1 and Sega Saturn release 'Shockwave Assault'.

Did you know D2 (the obscure Sega Dreamcast horror game that's a sequel to an more obscure horror game on 3DO) was originally going to be released on the Panasonic 3DO M2 and have an entirely different plot that would of been like the first game but then the system was cancelled, and it was reworked for Sega Dreamcast

Programmed by Rebecca Ann Heineman, who was an excellent programmer. She ported Wolfenstein 3D and Another World to the 3DO with stellar results, but when it came to the 3DO port of DOOM, all hell broke loose, and it was not the fault of Rebecca. The blame lay squarely on Art Data and its CEO, Randy Scott. The details of the troubled development for 3DO DOOM are readily available on the internet. Anyway, the 3DO port of Wolfenstein 3D is definitely an excellent version of ID's original masterpiece, with the exception of a few minor cosmetic changes that will not affect the gameplay whatsoever. Overall, Wolfenstein plays very well. With the ability to have extra weapons, such as the Rocket Launcher, you will have no choice, but to have a good time. Besides having crisp graphics and great sound, 60 levels make Wolfenstein a perfect game for anybody's nostalgia collection.
