so i started reading 6 of crows...

I love the idea that Kaz's superpower is everything is according to plan. And having contingency on top of contingency premeditated. But I headcanon he's just mastered riffing. Through the books he's loosing his grip just like everyone else but he doesn't have the luxury of admitting it because he's in charge of 5 teens just like him who he would loose control of with panic if they didn't trust him. They are at constant risk of flipping the script on him when he's doubted, so having them believe "oh kaz probably planned this the whole time it's gonna be fine" is the thinnest thread of keeping them all together and it unreliable at best.

These kids weren't long time friends before the start, Kaz is just an excellent magician, redirecting attention from the dominoes that don't topple.

So I finished Six Of Crows back in December but I've been so overwhelmed with work that I haven't started Crooked Kingdom. But I just saw the most INSANE edit ever oh my god it was soooooooo good holy shit so now I'm divided between actually managing my future or diving headfirst into the fandom.

ok i’m just getting started with writing literally my first piece of fanfiction and i can’t be more stuck. i’m always so bad at starting to write but once i get into it i just do it. i’ve decided that im going to do an au of wesper as a runaway prince and a pirate. ik it’s cheesy but i think it would fit their personalities very well. i’ve seen some people make wylan sassy which im 100% going to do and obviously jespers a total flirt but only for him once they meet. ;)

i want to include all 6 crows but i’m still figuring out what type of characters they would be. i know that inej is going to be a thief of sorts because obviously. and im still trying to figure the rest of the crows out. one other thing i want to do in my story is to make all the characters have more depth and meaning if that makes sense. i see in some fanfics the rest of the crows don’t really have any flaws or depth which is smth i want to focus on because everyone has some sort of problem and j want to focus on that and not just the main couple. i also want to make some sort of background with wylan’s father and make it gutwrenching because why not. 

i would love feedback and any suggestions for scenes that might be good!!

I was overcome with the urge to read Six of Crows for the first time since middle school. And damn. I forgot:

1. How much I thought kaz brekker was peak sexyness (so many comments in this book that are just like eurhrghwheggehdjfj kaz brekker *foams at mouth*)

2. The sheer amount of sexual tension

3. That JESPER is canonically queer AND WANTED TO SEE KAZ NAKED
