And just to end this series of Naruto related rants on a more positive note:
There's something just beautiful and refreshing about Sarada and Sumire having a heart to heart, where Sarada finally admits that, yes, she is in love with Boruto and vows to be honest with herself from now on...
And instead of that causing any kind of love triangle related conflict or drama between Sarada and Sumire, it actually ends mending the wedge that was forming between them and making their bond even closer and stronger than before.
Like, sure, they recognize each other as love rivals and both declare their intentions to become more serious with their feelings from now on. But even above that, they're still friends and will continue being friends.
It's absolutely not going to stop the inevitable shipping war because this fandom never changes, but it's just so, SO refreshing to see a female friendship portrayed like this in a Shonen battle manga.
And considering this is coming from Kishimoto and Ikemoto of all people, it's just absolutely amazing.
