hey, jsyk, you're not lazy. you're a hard worker. you just need the right tools. yours might be bent, they might be too cheap to function properly, they might hurt to use, you might get mocked for using them your own way. you're not any lesser for lagging behind. you just need to learn to use your tools differently, or get new ones altogether. but as long as you're pushing yourself further ever so slightly, you're doing great. you 100% deserve to build a better future for yourself. you will get it.

Why do ableds think we're lucky?

So I get comments practically everyday along the lines of "I wish I could stay at home all day" or "I can't believe you get to use the lift" etc, followed by "you're so lucky"

Which part of being in constant pain, feeling like I'm always on the verge of throwing up, having endless fatigue, and suffering frequent migraines is lucky?

Do people not realise these aren't just random bonuses I get? I don't use the lift because I can't be bothered walking up the stairs. I don't skip out on punishment for not doing my homework because the teachers like me.

I'm not lucky, I'm trying to live my life.

i had a sinus infection this past 2/3 weeks and missed a bunch of school which was good for my mental health but now i have to go back tomorrow and i'm in hell with tests to make up

my adhd has gotten so bad i can't read a paragraph and process or remember what it said when i'm done and it's rlly upsetting bc i used to read so much and tons of my cognitive function has just disappeared over the years

i am rlly feeling my neglect trigger from all around and my bpd has been really acting up and it's miserable
