Hell Yeah, Sour Dough AU

During the pandemic, so many people took up baking, it was ridiculous. Now that we’re at least back to some semblancy of normal, it’s by Character A’s estimate that about 1 in 5 people are still baking their own bread for the sake of convenience. Truth be told, Character A just loved the smell of freshly-baked bread and couldn’t resist making a new loaf almost every few days for the smell alone.

Because of this frequency, they don’t really think about the fact that the loaves sometimes went missing from the windowsill where they left them to cool. Character A blames it on forgetfulness, or their ADHD, or just being stressed and tired, but they can’t really dismiss what they saw on Wednesday afternoon when they sat in their kitchen enjoying a cup of tea.

Character A watches in disbelief as they witness a periscope & claw contraption lower from the balcony of their upstairs neighbor, grasp the newly-baked loaf delicately, and lift it to the upper balcony. This little crime is followed by a distinct chortle / cackle that’s soon muffled by the practical inhalation of what Character A can only assume is a massive chunk of bread: “mmHHmmmmmHHOHOHO HELL YEAH, SOUR DOUGH!!”

wally has a lot of hyperactive ticks, but most often he can be found bouncing his knee at superspeed while concentrating 

has hundreds of post-its notes scattered around his home, some reminding him of tasks he has to complete while others are just gibberish

pens complex drawings on his hands and arms when he loses focus in class

rarely tells anyone about his diagnosis, but dick knows and is very helpful

wally trusts dick with his mission souvenirs on the way back to headquarters to ensure that he won’t misplace them 

likes to be paired up with someone else on missions so he can count on him or her to keep him on track and remember every detail

wally confided in barry, only to reveal that the flash has adhd as well

barry showed him some tips and tricks on remaining focused in both school and hero work

a specialized medication is developed for him to improve his daily life while not being automatically burned by his fast metabolism
