See, the funniest thing is that I actually have significantly more spoons than I did a handful of years ago. But because I only got diagnosed at 20, I have two decades of inattentive power saving habits.
I have that thing where we feel we can only do one thing at a time. The magical one thing that we will be interested in that will motivate us through it all.
And that thing where I subconsciously compare the spoons investment and ROI on investment and get put off of doing low ROI stuff.
So, I have pretty bad ADHD (and def maybe have undiagnosed autism) and I have to learn to drive. Im 20 and am nervous that I wont be able to learn because I have difficulty focusing on driving and remembering to look before I cross lanes. Any tips?

I’m in the exact same situation at the minute! I’ve been learning to drive for… a while, and it’s not going as well as I’d like - I don’t really have much advice unfortunately. I always drink some caffeine before a lesson, and it does help a bit. I also always repeat directions I’ve been given out loud, because the ADHD short term memory issues have previously meant that I’ve gotten to a roundabout and forgotten which way I’m supposed to be turning.
You do get better at it, though. It’s one of those things that takes practice—the basic things start to become second nature after a while.
If anyone has any tips, please leave it in the comments/reblogs!

So… I’m a young adult (20s) with inattentive ADHD and other mental health issues who will be moving out for college next month
I have done a 3.5 year vocational training (so I’m qualified to work as a professional handyperson) and I do have savings
But I do not have the slightest idea how to budget household money
I got a student loan of 450€/mo and my parents said they will give me 200€/month for groceries/ food
I DO NOT intend to start a part-time job until at least my 3rd semester! I have been out of school too long and need to focus so I don’t fuck up college
So my starting budget is 650€/month from which I have to pay
rent & utilities,
insurances (household, liability, casualty, some private health insurances),
groceries,
Plus a small amount each month I need to put aside in case I have to buy additional books, stationary, new everyday-shoes or generally in case I have to replace stuff that gets broken/ used up
Can anyone help me how to keep track of my finances and how to budget when I barely have enough money to cover overheads/ necessities?
Honestly I feel genuinely bad asking for help, especially since I know I have more savings to my name than many people my age probably have. But also, my parents never budgeted – at least not in a way they can teach me how to
Yk when you have that feeling where you need something like right now but you can’t figure out what it is you need
Like okay brain do you want me to eat or sleep or create or listen to a specific song or run a mile or scream into the void what do you want
Bc yeah
You are an ADHD Creator. You are a creator with ADHD. Sometimes, you struggle with starting projects because you get overwhelmed by pesky ADHD perfectionism.
But guess what? It doesn't have to be perfect. Draw it anyway. Write it anyway. Give yourself the grace to not be perfect.
At some point, your joys became burdens because you would look at a blank piece of paper and all you could see were all the ways your brain couldn't translate what you wanted accurately to the page.
Do it anyway.
Create anyway.
You can do it.
It won't be perfect, and that's okay.
