guys srsly be safe with binding your chest, most binders when bought new come with care instructions specific to the binder and the company but just generally make sure to be careful and if ur currently wearing one just take a moment to reflect and make sure you haven't been wearing it for over about 8 hours (give or take) take it from me, ive nearly broken my ribs while binding and it SUCKS, and while my dysphoria isn't too severe safety should come first, just be aware that binding can go wrong sometime and PLEASE BUY FROM A REPUTABLE COMPANY because if a binder isn't made right it can potentially be more dangerous than a well made binder

This is what I mean when I say TIFs are deeply ignorant to reality when it comes to the men that date them. They really can't see the danger.

In the above post, we have a TIF ranting about her "jackpot" of a boyfriend who openly encourages her to self-harm encourages her top surgery goals. She thinks this man is "joking" about literally wanting to see her get her breasts chopped off. I do sense the tiniest bit of discomfort here - hence why she's asking the FTMMen (which is for so-called "binary" trans men) community where they stand on it. Thankfully most are pointing out how wildly unethical this would be, but of course there are a handful that thinks it would be just wonderful for him to be there.

Anyway maybe I'm the crazy one but this post genuinely felt so ghoulish to me. Imagine considering yourself "lucky" to be with a man who is thrilled at the idea of your body being hacked to pieces. It's like some weird form of BDSM play except as you and I know, the men are not "playing" at all - the violence they are enacting (or in this case, would merely be witness to) is very much real.

Whenever I speak to an AFAB person there’s almost an 100% guarantee they have some kind of health issue that they should be seeing a doctor about, but don’t because “I’m just being dramatic”. I know people who have had relentless chronic pain to the point they are unable to move an entire limb, people who had asthma for years and never saw a doctor about it, girls I’ve grown up with who will be gone for a considerable amount of time and when they come back say “oh you know just period cramps”. I’ve experienced this myself, subconsciously dismissing my own pain due to the amount of times I’ve walked into a doctors office or spoken to an adult I trusted and been told “it’s good for you to struggle a bit” “it’s not that bad”, “stop trying to get attention”.

A medical issue that is debilitating or uncomfortable in your life is something to see a doctor about. You’re not dramatic for not wanting to be in pain all the time, for not wanting to feel terrible and tired and sick. Being in pain all the time is not just something that you’re supposed to live with.

Dismissing people for their pain is yet another thing that makes health care inaccessible.

As an afab enby person, I’m tired of the reactions I get to growing my hair out. No I’m not detransitioning, and no I’m not “embracing my femininity”. I’m growing my hair out to be more like Jonathan Sims. Nothing else.

the binary AGAB/ASAB terms were created with the intent of describing how doctors would mutilate newborns into being "proper females" (afab) or "proper males" (amab)... you dont wanna be using these! they're inherently tied to the medical malpractice involving newborn infants, toddlers, kids and teens. be mindful of that!

i hope that this can be taken lightly and in a "cmon guys this is no good to say" tone. please do take this seriously all-together because its something that irks a plethora of intersex people. have a lovely day!

It’s funny because looking the way I do, a lot of folks are very surprised when I tell them I’m trans haha. But what’s even funnier is if I talk to them long enough to be like, “yeah I want to have kids someday and I want to carry the pregnancy myself” because their brains *always* glitch out from that information HAHA

Like yeah, most transmasc folks don’t want to get pregnant and if they do it isn’t usually intentional but not all of us!!! And not only those who are more “fem presenting” either!

Masc presenting trans folks can also want to carry a pregnancy!

Anyone who’s trans can want to carry a pregnancy!

If you want to and have the ability/resources to, then it doesn’t matter your gender identity or how you present!
