There’s a reason I use CAMAB/CAFAB (coercively assigned gender at birth) instead of AMAB/AFAB, and even then rarely (and with ‘individuals’ in front of the acronym). Cause like, a lot of people, even in the queer community, just take bioessentialism and throw a progressive topping on it that’s like “gender isn’t real but your sex is” and then use AMAB/AFAB for bioessentialist talking points. And even then when someone says AMAB they typically just mean transfems, they do mean all individuals CAFAB when they say AFAB though (something something regendering transmascs into the female sexgender class and degendering transfems into the third sexgender class). Just like gender, sex isn’t real either, and a saying I really like using to explain this is that “the stars are real but the constellations aren’t.” No one trying to define male/female can do it without excluding people that they would consider male or female, and the definition they’re thinking of, the one that everyone uses to try and bioessentially distinguish male/female is whatever sex your doctor decided you were when they looked at your genitals at birth, which is clearly bullshit so no one tries to define sex that way, and since they can’t define it any other way it shows that sex is just bullshit outright and that it’s a ‘constellation’ that doesn’t have anything tangible to do with reality and is just something created by humanity to have meaning. The stars are real but the constellations aren’t; sex isn’t real. So therefore it’s important to use CAMAB/CAFAB rather than AMAB/AFAB, because sex is a fake thing coercively applied onto you by society.
