Eight-year-old Eddie watches the Hawkins fireworks with his hands over his ears, flinching at every boom--- until he sees a younger boy sitting calm and still, serenely watching the sky as if it isn't actively exploding. As the show reaches the grand finale, Eddie doesn't look up to the sky once. He just shoves his fingers in his ears and watches the way the light dances across the boy's face, the boy who controls his fear in a way Eddie never learned and is starting to worry he never will.

Meanwhile, the Deaf Steve Harrington has a weird feeling in his tummy--- maybe it's because of the rumbling boom of the explosions, or maybe it's because he can tell the boy with the curly hair is staring back at him now.

I had a WAAAAYYYY cooler image of this in my head, so im not super happy with it highkey, but im posting it anyway bc i think its important to know that even if its not what you had in ur head, ur art is important no matter how silly it feels :)

Anyway so while i was trying to think of a reason for espio to have left home, the idea of his whole clan/village/town/whatever it is having been destroyed popped into my head, and what better way to destroy a village than with fire !!

Im prolly not going w it tho bc it feels very… for lack of a better word, token… like “my ninja village burnt down and im going to be a master ninja to avenge them” ok bro

I got lots of suggestions on my other posts abt story things and i rlly appreciate it!! I saw a couple of them while drawing this and was like “shit thats way better” lol.

Once i have less projects ill try drawing some of them, but rn i have 2 million things i forced myself to make first.

Tbh I’m a bit shy about sharing this piece since I’ve never seen any younger art or designs for them. I’m going off the NES timeline so this would be 1955. Joe is 7 and Von Kaiser is 11

There is a but more stuff I made but it’s gonna take me forever to finish. I want thoughts before I make myself look silly if no one is interested
