These Apple Dumplings in the Air Fryer are a quick and easy dessert that can be used for any event. They have soft apple slices inside, are wrapped in flaky crescent roll dough, and are air-fried until they are golden. Put some warm cinnamon apple sauce on top of them to make them taste even better!
Ingredients: 2 large apples, peeled, cored, and sliced. 1 8-ounce can crescent roll dough. 1/2 cup granulated sugar. 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon. 1/4 cup unsalted butter. 1/2 cup apple cider or apple juice. 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract. Vanilla ice cream optional, for serving.
Instructions: Preheat your air fryer to 350F 175C. In a small saucepan, melt the butter over low heat. Stir in the granulated sugar, ground cinnamon, apple cider or apple juice, and vanilla extract. Cook for a few minutes until the mixture thickens slightly. Remove from heat and set aside. Open the can of crescent roll dough and separate it into triangles. Place a few apple slices on each triangle of dough. Roll up the dough around the apple slices, sealing the edges to enclose the apples completely. Repeat for all the apple slices and dough triangles. Place the apple-filled dumplings in a single layer in the air fryer basket, making sure they don't touch. Air fry at 350F 175C for about 10-12 minutes or until the dumplings are golden brown and cooked through. Remove the apple dumplings from the air fryer and drizzle the cinnamon apple sauce over them while they're still warm. Serve the air fryer apple dumplings with a scoop of vanilla ice cream if desired. Enjoy!
