Nixie’s Rare Pair AU Challenge, Day Seven: Alex x Darwin - 1940s AU.
“Did anyone see you?” Darwin spoke, his voice hushed and urgent, “Alex!”
The blond shook his head, just as urgent and just as serious as Darwin. “No, no man, I don’t think anyone saw me slippin’ here.”
They stay tense for another few moments, but when it becomes clear no ones about to come busting into Darwin’s apartment, they both let out collective sighs of relief, lips spreading into strained but happy smiles as they step up to one another.
Darwin’s hands wrapping around Alex’s thin, bony hips, while Alex’s slide up Darwin’s arms before loosely wrapping around his shoulders as they bow their heads, foreheads resting against once another as they just enjoy being for a while.

Here’s a master post of all the aesthetics I did over the course of August (and a few days of September!) I had a lot of fun doing this! Thanks for all the love and support you all should for these babies! I’m super proud of them! I’m thinking, maybe in the future, I might do something like this again. Though, I think next time it won’t be AUs, maybe I’ll just do up pairing aesthetics. Though, I do love me a good AU, I guess we’ll see if I end up doing this again.

who was the one to propose:
honestly, it would probably have to be alex, because i feel like darwin wouldn’t make that many of the major first moves, knowing how skittish alex has the ability to be when he’s surprised.
who stressed more over wedding planning:
neither of them. because they don’t plan a wedding, they have to wait around for gay marriage to be legalized and even then it’s probably a courthouse thing and not a big white thing. darwin laughs his behind off at the idea of ‘big white wedding’ and points out that he is not white. everyone else is not sure whether to laugh or awkwardly cough, because they pretty much are all white
who decorated the house:
neither of them, because they do not have a house separate from the mansion, and they pretty much don’t do anything to the room they eventually share because neither of them give a fck
who is more organized:
alex. not that darwin is messy, but alex is pretty orderly, as things go.
who initiates bedroom fun:
either of them, depending. mostly alex at first, because he is the horny teenager of the two of them, although he doesn’t usually go in with sex as the end goal, he usually just wants a kiss. after a while, darwin figures out alex’s weird touch limits and starts initiating more things.
who suggested kids first:
neither of them. there are enough kids in charles’ house already without them bringing one in.
who’s more dominant:
darwin, but not always overtly so.
who’s the cuddler:
darwin is wayyyyyy touchier. like a lot touchier. not that alex doesn’t like cuddling, but he’s always sort of ‘…’ about goin for it
what’s their favorite non-sexual activity:
they have lots. darwin likes taking alex dancing because alex dances like a white boy and it’s hilarious. alex likes taking darwin to play pinball because he needs to remember that he’s not the worst at everything. they like to make fun of movies together.
who kills the spiders:
neither of them care enough about spiders to kill them, but probably darwin would capture them if either of them cared and release them into the wild.
who falls asleep first:
mostly alex. because darwin usually waits around for him to fall asleep to make sure he’s not going to spend the whole night staring at the ceiling and pretending he doesn’t want to wake darwin up.
who is louder?
alex. just generally. darwin is way too calm to yell generally, and he’s just much quieter in bed. not that alex is exactly a screamer, but he’s sure as shit not silent.
who is more experimental?
darwin. alex is too much of an übervirgin. but probably like twice in their lives alex comes out with something surprisingly adventurous and darwin teases him about it after they’ve determined it was actually kind of awesome
do they fuck or make love?
either, depending. alex is way more likely to ask for the former than darwin is, but sometimes either or both of them requires the latter.
who is more likely to be caught masturbating?
alex. need i mention the shower again

alex.
who is better at oral and who prefers it?
i want to make an adapt to survive joke about deep-throating, but i’ll just say darwin instead. but alex may or may not prefer it, depending on the circumstance.

like i said, depends on where in the grand scheme of things the relationship is at. starts out with darwin being encouraging and alex initiating, but later evens out more when they figure each other out better.

alex. i don’t even think i need to explain this

darwin. i really, really do not need to explain this. darwin is the only person in the mansion with any chill at all
