ok this is starting to get really frustrating
there’s like loads of spots in the binders where the stitching is just way off I’ve caught like three weak spots so far I’m going to go through how to fix them because besides the stitching and the thread quality I know gc2b works really well for some people and I want them to have binders that aren’t falling apart
I’ll show now what this looks like and the problem areas I found
here’s the inside bottom of the binder the very bottom hem specifically where the fabric is attached to the other one you can see the edges are finished but it isn’t all the way and the end threads are loose so if they’re tugged they come apart
Now this part are the front part of the armholes and I fixed it by doing this(the photo under this text) but I need to finish the edges like how they’re finished in the first photo luckily I’ve only seen this happen once so far.
Lastly they have these problems on the inside collar right in the middle on the front and back this issue is more common
I used to catch stitch to fix the hem but I need to finish the edges somehow probably a whip stitch or something similar? I’ll look it up.
found it its called a blanket stitch
ok so i really dont want to unravel the thread thats already there so what im going to do is to a catch stitch on top of whats already there like i showed and then go in with this after and just do it under the threading thats already there the stitches on the binder are already pretty loose so it should be easy enough to get under when im done ill reblog this and add what it looks like and any tips so if youre seeing this check the notes and other rebloggs and make sure you have the most updated version and youre sharing the most updated version
people keep reblogging this one but this isnt the most updated version TT-TT
