Ladies of Valinor

Random Finwëan cousin headcanons while I procrastinate:

Finrod, Maglor, and Amarië were close in Valinor, to the point that Maglor was even helping Finrod write her love songs.

Turgon and Maglor never really clicked and were in an awkward “friend of my friend/estranged cousin” relationship. They still ended up hanging out a lot in Valinor because of Finrod until the Helcaraxë put them on overtly bad terms.

Fingon was obvs Maedhros’ favorite cousin, but Galadriel was his least favorite. These two divas would have the most civil, corporate-email-insult-ridden debates for HOURS whenever they ran into each other

Aredhel had a VERY strained relationship with her mother Anairë (mostly due to an extreme personality clash). Her friendship with Curufin and Celegorm initially started as a way to act out

Celegorm knew this and actively egged the situation on. Curufin guessed, but secretly had always wanted a younger sister

Every few years, Finwë would try for a family reunion. This without fail went horribly wrong, and Amrod and Amras could be counted on to bring some “herbal remedies” for whichever cousin needed it

Angrod and Caranthir were actually not initially on bad terms despite being two of the most hot headed in their family (says a lot in this group). They actually would occasionally seek each other out to grouch for a bit if some other person was ticking them both off
